Why? Does someone need a BB coach? We have it on good authority that NU is all set with Tim Miles.

I don't think it will be Lue, personally, but I'm confused why it's such a common group-think that he would be a bad hire. It's because he had a bad record once Cleveland got rid of LeBron and anyone else who could play? Is it because he won a championship with LeBron? I know that Doc Rivers holds Lue in very high regard - and Doc Rivers is a Hall of Fame Coach in waiting. Yet some on here think they know better than Doc Rivers.

I am quite confident that Moos has Hoiberg lined up and I think that's a likely home run hire. Time will tell. I'm guessing after the second weekend games, he will be announced.

Equally, if not more important is the new coach's recruiting prowess. I would gamble that Lue would be very good at it.

You answered your own question with your 2nd paragraph. Scooby has a history of just tossing names out to see what sticks to the wall. That is why he is taking heat. Secretly I think he is just an Iowa fan sent here to irritate us.

That's my opinion. Waiting until after his son sits on the bench for the Mich St. tourny games is not an excuse I like. He can accept and start, take a quick break to go see his son's team play.
We aren’t the ones holding the cards here. If Fred said to Moos, “I’m your man, but I want to wait til after the tourney,” I am perfectly content with Moos saying that’s fine.

You keep banging this drum, but there are MULTIPLE reputable sources out there saying this is what has happened. Accept it and quit belly-aching about it.

I don't really trust the sources to be accurate, so my belly will be aching until it's official.

New article out from Sipple that says Ty Lue has actually expressed interest in the Nebraska job. Color me shocked. Never thought he gave a rip about his alma mater.
