After a 0-6 start.. bring him back as a head coach in waiting lol... this guy didnt get a chance after lebron left.. what did they expect? Honestly
I was gonna say, I'd love for him to replace Miles.
Just because he coached LeBron James doesn’t mean he would be a hit in college Basketball not too mention Nebraska basketball..
There have been quite a few former NBA players come back and try to coach in college and in most cases it has not gone well. Miles has his team preseason ranked and Lue has stated that he has zero interest in coaching in college.Just because he coached LeBron James doesn’t mean he would be a hit in college Basketball not too mention Nebraska basketball..

Lue can get a much better job than Nebrasketball. He'll take an NBA assistant job for a while and get another head coaching opportunity somewhere in the NBA if he wants it.
He's set for life financially now. An NBA assistant job will have far less stress than a college job where you have to recruit.

I have no idea why that's funny, it just is.
Your bias led to you making a false statement. Nebraska has made the NCAA tournament seven times in the history of its program. Miles has one of those in his first six years, narrowly left out last season after a 13 conference win season. This year the team is ranked in the preseason and is poised for another NCAA appearance - which would be the second in seven seasons. Not eye popping results but when you look at the history of the program, it is not “hasn’t done a damn thing”.No not at all. But this is after all Nebraska basketball so there are limited expectations. I mean damn, Miles is on year 50 and hasn't done a damn thing, might as well throw more BS at the wall and see what sticks. Better strategy than doing the same thing over again and expecting different results.
I just want to see Nebraska win a game in the tournament. (two would be better)
After all the fallout of the off season maybe recruiting will become cleaner. I doubt it but maybe.

A 22 win season with 13 wins in conference is more than “not a damn thing”. What in the history of the program do you look at that suggests a turnaround at Nebraska should be easy? And you are already counting preseason expectations as though it will play out exactly as speculated. So it looks like your bias is showing as well.
Miles one NCAA appearance is a blip on the radar of his terrible career as HC at NU. Just as those other appearances were blips on the radars of past coaches. It's not indicative of anything more than a chance anomaly and has zero to do with him being a good HC.
In fact it's indicative of the coaches before him who did it as being much better than him. They had much less to work with than he currently has.
So when looked at in the correct context, No he hasn't done a damn thing.
so are you saying this NBA is an actual thing? it's been garbage for years as I recall, from refs jobbing games to teams tanking seasons for picks...just say no and move along

The NBA used to be garbage 15-20 years ago. Too many thugs, too much iso ball, etc. Incidents like Malice at The Palace and Latrell Sprewell choking out PJ Carlesimo didn't help. Portland was referred to as the JailBlazers, Denver was referred to as the Thuggets, etc. It was a dark time for fans that grew up on Magic vs. Bird.
The league really struggled post-Jordan for about 10 years to turn out a good universal product again. Over the last 10 years, though, the NBA has really found its stride again. For the longest time, the Spurs were about the only team in the league that played like a team consistently. Now there are exciting, cohesive teams and young talent everywhere you look.
As for "refs jobbing games," that was ONE guy and he went to jail, not some league-wide conspiracy. And teams tanking for picks? Gee, it's a good thing NFL and MLB teams would never stoop so low. Laughing
I don't even like the NBA and I felt like I had to like that post...nice.
Goes to show you how much more progressive Adam Silver is as a commissioner. By far the best commsioner in all of Pro SportsThanks, litespeed. I know I probably didn't make a dent but whenever I see someone dismiss the NBA on this board, it seems to based on the assumption that the league is still operating like it's 2003.
