The Taylor Martinez bit is a little dragged out. The season starting and new players to put in will definitely add some new life to it. He will do much better than this at some point this season

Definitely will be setting my clock to Scott Frost Standard Time though.

I kinda wish he would have not rode the Taylor horse as much, and brought in other QBs. I also TOTALLY expected him to bring in Carl when they started talking about blow.

It will likely never be what it was when Pelini was here. He had so many good characters developed Bo Carl Papuchis Taylor Rex. It feels lazy to be using Taylor when he graduated 5 years ago. I get that Adrian gave him a great opening to use Taylor again but its time to develop some more characters.

Nailed it. When he used Carl and Papuchis it was so flipping funny. Cocaine snorter-type and basically a waterboy taking commands and bowing down to Lord Bo.

Our coaching staff now is so hardcore that he is gonna have to get a little more creative. He needs more Jason Peter.

He's taken a few years off and there's been two regime changes since he last published weekly. This was such a reset that I almost consider it a pilot episode. Give him some time to develop new characters and find the right balance.

@TheNewNU is right that the Pelini years will likely never be matched. He had a goldmine of outrageous characters (in real life) to work with and it all came together beautifully. This staff has their **** together, which is great for real-life football, but not so much for comedy.

The heavy use of Taylor makes sense with the Martinez connection, the fact that Adrian was just named the starter and we lost Gebbia, a heralded Cali QB, at the same time. It was topical, in a sense.

Now if every week becomes a new excuse to trot Taylor out, that will be another story. But I really don't think he'll go that way.

It’s a new season, everyone is starting over to get better each day. That’s more clear now. Not a bad start I’m sure they will get better.
