Two Possible Positives From Yesterday

Hopefully:

1. JoMo has figured out blocking schemes, offensive schemes, etc., that will get Kylin the ball in different spaces.

2. JoMo has figured out that Zuber and Dedrick Thomas (he's our best receiver, he's a Sr, where has he been?) are our best downfield options and will minimize the roles of Guidry and Mitchell.

Face it, there is a 75% chance JoMo will be back, we need to focus on beating Ark, ACU and UM and going to the Birmingham bowl.

You’re completely wrong on all points

What? How can anyone possibly disagree that Derick Thomas is our best receiver? Let me rephrase that, our best pass catcher. I'm not a coach and certainly don't watch the all 22 film, it is possible that Guidry runs great routes and is a beast downfield blocking, but he is 50/50 when the ball balls hits him in the hands.

I’d agree Thomas and Mitchell are our best two WR. Green is a pretty damn good TE and under utilized in my opinion. I’d like to see more of Javonta Payton - seems like we heard reports he was doing well in spring or fall, and he physically looks like a good WR. Just haven’t seen him on the field much.

I honestly didn’t watch much yesterday so I really can’t comment on how we looked. Power went off somewhere in 2nd quarter and I really didn’t have much incentive to tune back in when it came on.

The only positive from yesterday is that we're one game closer to this **** show being over and the potential hiring of someone who has a clue.

I hear you, but we need to adjust our expectations, baring **** show losses to Ark and UM (which may happen), JoMo will be our coach in 2020. We will likely win two out of Ark, ACU and UM, that will be enough to keep his job.

Rutgers may have had some interest early on, but after watching this disaster, their interest has likely cooled.

Do not post that much anymore, but the idea that Croomhead has anything figured out is at best laughable, pretty much stopped reading at that point. Completely agree the only positive from yesterday is we are one more game closer to Joe being gone. I mean we need to concentrate on winning those three games? Who honestly cares if we do? Either way, we fire him this year or we fire him next year with even more damage done. So please explain the positives again? Not to mention most of the offense was garbage time ********.

greenbean, trust me, I want to be on your level, I want to believe, but I can't anymore. Moorhead is a system coach, and while they usually takes 3-4 years to catch, it's starting to become obvious that his system is a bad fit for MSU, as is his temperament. He's certainly not going to "figure anything out". He's going to keep running his offense and unless he gets the perfect players, we're not going to look in sync. That's what he was hired to do. The biggest problem is that I don't see any difference in who we have on the roster now, and who we will have on the roster in the future. It's the same Mississippi and surrounding area prospects. Shrader looks like a more polished passing version of Fitzgerald.

The season needs to end

This has been the worst football season since 2008. The entire team looks apathetic. I've tried to be positive because I understand some of the adversity with roster holes we are dealing with.

But we are constantly playing below our ability and appear to be defeated after 3 minutes of gameplay.

It's hard to support that. I guess the positive for me is my power went out just before Texas AM scored their first TD so i missed the entire game.

The terrible mismanagement of suspensions is DIRECTLY correlated to a lot of the lack of effort and general defeatism.

Our "positive" coming out of this season is that if we keep Moorhead we're going to get to experience homecoming at every SEC campus.
