Everyone mentions how Lincolnite Greg Zeurlein kicked the game winner and Burkhead scored the game winning touchdown but few mention the coin toss by former Husker Blakeman as the real key. Whichever team won that toss had a high probability of scoring a TD and winning that game as both defenses were 100% gassed after a 38 point 4th quarter.

Speaking of the coin toss, this is why I hate the NFL overtime rules. The other team should always get a crack. In baseball, if the first team gets a run, do they end the game?

It’s a foolish way to end the game, in my opinion.
Yeah it pretty antiquated, needs to be changed. Brady is the luckiest guy I know, imo not that great just dam lucky. Just think if frank Tarkington and Dan Marino had the luck Brady has, OT benefits of no calls or phantom calls. Anyone remember the fumble that wasn't a fumble against the raiders

Blakeman

Ha, too funny!

I was in a football camp with Blakeman in HS. Was a pretty nice kid despite being the star HS player around there. Think I was second in the 10 yard dash times behind him..Unfortunately, the 30 yards past that weren't all that good for me! ha
