I think I heard last night on the weather that there may be some tornado warnings around the state, so I am betting that is the reason. Even here in the Valley, they are calling it a "high wind warning" with gusts expected up to 55 MPH.

Yes tornado warning for most of Eastern VA until 9 p.m. Bad weather now out west near Farmville. Been some tornado watches. Waverly in Sussex was hit badly.

Prayers for the Essex Tappahonnock community as a tornado touched down and destroyed many homes there!

Praying for my town and county. Twenty plus people sent to the hospital here and surrounding areas. Some people still trapped in their homes. Many homes damaged or destroyed, including my late aunts home. Local church destroyed. Guess we'll know more in the morning.
