The one I saw shows Sedrick King as 2nd team OLB. He's off the team, right? Also shows Stille as 2nd team DE as well as OLB?

I'm guessing it just needs to be cleaned up?

No Dixon, Lee or McQuitty was a surprise. Aaron Williams third team was too.

I see a lot of four star guys on our 2-deep. I hope our staff can maximize their potential. I expect this group of coaches to do so.

I see a lot of four star guys not on the two deep. Many are junior and seniors.

Wow to some of those that made it or didn't make it. It seems Frost's brand of competition really weeded a lot of people out but also brought the best out of some player we already had.

Anyone else surprised to see Bryan Reimers 2nd string receiver? I'm not.

Watching his film I don't know what the heck the coaches saw in Braxton Clark, but they sure saw something...

Also interesting to see Antonio Reed is back at starting safety. I heard both him and Aaron Williams were both 3rd string, which is weird because I thought they were two of our better players last year.

Do one of you spreadsheet guys have some kind of numbers on roster turnover in the 2 deep? How many are new to the team, how many from last year, or how many that were on the team last year but not on the 2 deep?

That kind of went both ways. We got a bunch in the the two deep and bunch not. We got a good amount of 4 star players and high 3 star players. So it will go both ways ;)

Lots of inflated numbers on that chart.

Every team inflates numbers though, so you compare the weights, take off the requisite 10-15 pounds from each weight, and then compare. Either way, I don't think Wisconsin is going to be that much bigger than us on the OLine. Probably a little taller I would guess.

Like all this shuffling going on. Tryin' to get it right. Don't remember previous coaching staff going thru this. Might explain them being previous.

From the little bit I've seen, our linemen now look like B1G linemen. That's a first in about the past 10 years.

Really? Oh Gawd, I really, REALLY hope you're 100% correct sir!
Barney deserved a little less grief for our O line than he got, but even some of the kids who eventually got to the NFL never really looked like they were in shape while Barney was there. Cavanaugh brought in some really good talent IMO, but the lack of dedication to S&C was apparent. It will be interesting to see how they do this year. My expectation is that our O line play will be as good as it's been for a long time. We'll see.

Ohhhh......the very finest music to my ears. I know it's basically impossible to acquire a real-deal pipeline in just one year. But some solid steps in that direction will make me a very, very, very happy camper!

Once again, you can bet the ranch I'll be wanting for you to be on the money. This is going to be soooooo fun.

GBR!!

I believe Sam McKeon mentioned it something like 30-40% new players on the first game's roster. So, quite a bit of turnover and change in the lineup. I would assume, depending on the year, 10-20% would be more normal, as new players step up and old players graduate. So, we've definitely done some flipping and adjusting to the new coaching regime. @Tuco Salamanca

That defensive depth chart is very interesting. I think there are some players that are not listed on the two deep that will have an important impact on the season but are situational guys (Dixon for instance)

I see a lot of players playing defense for the first couple of weeks. The biggest surprise to me is McQuitty (sp?) not on the two deep and I thought our third wide out would be Lindsey not Williams but I see a lot of 4 wide outs being played to open up the run game and screen game.

Also interesting that Colin Miller is listed as a co number 1 at ILB. He must have come on strong this fall. He could turn out to be really good.

Mcquitty is coming off back-to-back years with knee injuries...he should still play. AWill coming off significant shoulder injury, still not sure he is full go. As for Stille , Carlos didn't sign much lose as Stille stepped up and took control. Carlos will also see time at NT and may be starter there next year.
