2 Corners I'm exceptionally high on, Miss States tandem Will Redmond & Taveze Calhoun. Been high on Taveze since last yr. Just needs consistency

If we can find a safety to pair with Coman, our secondary should be pretty solid.

If Peters can bring a high level of play this year it will be good. I know we are deep at LB but if Leo can bring the pain we will be solid on D.

Yeah. We have a chance to be really solid in the secondary. If we can generate a little bit of a pass rush, we should get some turnovers.

Our young CBs are going to be good too.

I think Coman will be fine. I'm more worried about ZJackson in coverage.

Jackson will be fine now that he's not being subbed in for a freak of nature without any scheme adjustments.

This is going back a ways, but Cox played a lot as a freshman and started a handful of games in Mullen's first season...

The best secondaries begin with a strong pass rush. Nothing makes a secondary look better than a hurried QB making rushed and poor decisions. Let an O have time for a play to fully develop works against even the best secondary players. It all starts up front.

I hope Brandon Bryant takes Coman's spot this year. I do not have a lot of faith in him.

Coman is going to have breakout season this year. He had a great spring. I actually hope that Bryant and Coman are our Game 1 starters at Safety. My plan would be to work in Peters on Special Teams, nickel/dime safety and eventually a 3 man rotation with Bryant and Coman.

Let's hope Diaz's schemes don't leave Jackson in man to man coverage...ever. I would put Peters in this spot some, especially against spread teams.

Do you remember KJ, White, or Gatling on islands in coverage against slot guys?

We will either be in traditional 4-3 or full nickel under Diaz generally with safety help over the top in center field on the strong side IMO... At least that's been his MO...

Wells was a freak and us trying to employ "that" scheme when he wasn't in the game just was not fair to anyone.

Coman is pretty good. He was only soph and is very athletic and has a great build for a Safety. I have high expectations for Bryant as well tho. I think Coman improves a lot this year being more mature and knowing what to do. He made some good plays in the Aub game last year.
