Walmart in Corbin had 85” Samsung for around $550, 75”Vizio for $428! Either is a good tv! I like the picture on the Vizio, I have a 75”!
It’s crazy the kind of TV’s you can get for these prices now. 4K Oled smart TV’s that look beautiful. The main difference is the newer tech like Mini Q-LED and the refresh rates.

Expensive ones have native 144hz refresh. If you don’t game it’s hard to tell at certain points. The color/brightness/consistency of them is what improved the most. Cheaper ones have bloom and don’t look as good in light rooms or the refresh struggles on games and movies to where you can notice some blur. Overall you can get an amazing TV that does everything you need for $600 now depending on size. $1000 for sure up to 75/85 inches on a good sale.

Do not get a Visio
I have a 70" Visio and it's been a wonderful TV for 6+ years. I have another 70" upstairs but don't know what the brand is off the top of my head and have a 55" in my bedroom once again don't know what the brand is lol. The one upstairs and in my bedroom are ROKU T.V's

Check out rtings.com. Best TV review site out there. I love LG oled. Still have an oled I bought in 2015 that looks great
Bought a 48inch LG OLED EVO for the bedroom. The TV is excellent with colors out of this world. Have a Samsung in the living room but next TV for the living room will be another LG OLED EVO. Extremely pleased.

It totally is. Best TV I've ever had. I'll never do less than 98" again as my main TV.
You sound like my brother. He’s got a movie theatre with a projector I guess. Can’t get him off his Xbox on that thing. Super jealous of both of you all. lol.

We have Vizio's at the house. I think you can grab like a 65" 4k for like $300 a 75" is under $500. Hell if it tears up I'll just buy another. 😎

I’ve always been happy with Samsung TVs. They are brighter than most and don’t need any 3 rd party streaming devices and cheaper than the Sonys. Had them for years and never had one go bad.
98'' tcl it is huge and cost a lot less than those so called big name brands picture is awesome. I would recommend it to anyone. I gave 1200 for it on black friday.

Samsung is way to go for TV's imho. Counting monitors we have 8 Samsung screens in our house and all are great. Our oldest is a Samsung plasma that is still in our master bedroom. It was a wedding gift in 2009 and still behaves like it is brand new. Screen is ridiculous for a TV that is 17 years old. We have 3 smart monitors, 80"+, 65", 55", the plasma and I have another small Samsung TV in my office that Ive had for like 15 years.

Gerald what did you buy?
Ok, went with the 77” Samsung S90F OLED 4K. It was the 2025 version.

It was a beast getting it from Lexington 90 miles south. Thankfully my brother in law is good at doing things and was able to lash the thing on his truck to handle I75.

We’ve got it installed and it is beautiful.

And a big shoutout to Best Buy Hamburg as we had a problem or two and they handled it wonderfully. Couldn’t be more impressed with the store and the workers. Great experience and I would recommend them for any big purchase!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions and advice. I’m pretty excited!
