And they would deserve it. There have been 2 distinct West teams, one that took North Buncombe to the woodshed even when they still had Joe Jones and one that’s struggled to bad teams for 3 straight weeks. The difference? One played with a chip on their shoulder as an underdog and one doesn’t know how to handle their newfound success and fame.
I just heard they are going to dedicate the field next week to coach Brooks. That is absolutely great to hear, he deserves it for sure, if anyone is able to get there you should definitely try to be. Brooks was one of the best we have ever had, I grew up with coach Brooks on the sidelines and watched intently as a young kid year after year with my grandad and dad which both have now passed. Lots of great memories of those Doug Brooks coached teams and being with my family on Friday nights, it's those things that I will cherish especially since I now get to create those memories with my own son, and if you all are like me some people will just never understand why you care so much about Friday nights, win or lose.

Well done THS, this is long overdue, I remember the battles we had with his teams when only one team made the playoffs, it was exciting!
Are past Jubal's posts revealing? Is this the type of person "We" want running our athletic program?

But if Billy was asking for a qualified white guy coaching say, Robbinsville, as the front runner based off the fact he was white.... Haha. Seriously? The moderators would shut the thread down. Block his user name from being used ever again. And POTUS would be singing in a church in South Asheville this Sunday."
