Not must interest it seems in this game. Tuscola flying under the radar at 9-1. I guess the big draw this week is Brevard/Pisgah. But if Brevard pulls an upset and Tuscola takes care of the football... Three way tie for the WNCAC. That story is kind of getting buried. Any thoughts.

Franklin has the talent to beat Tuscola but I think the Mounties take this one by 14+..

Franklin is always a tough place to get a win. I'll be pulling for a Franklin win and Brevard win for selfish reasons so Brevard can win conference outright, but I think Tuscola wins by 10.

Ok tell me this then...when was the last time Franklin went into the final week 2-3 or with a losing record at home?

You're right, it's not EASY to win in Franklin, but it's easier this year than any other year in recent memory.

Tuscola has not beaten Franklin in 5 years. There is plenty of motivation for that reason alone, but that is not the only reason. Lose this game and hit the road for the duration of the playoffs. That is a motivator. A win and a PHS loss will result in a shared title. But probably wont affect seeding since PHS owns the tie breaker. Franklin will be the same physical running team we have seen but can pass too from time to time. Plus the trip over COWEE puts teams down a TD before they even get off the bus. The PIT is a tough venue to play in. Should be an interesting game. The JV game at Tuscola will also be interesting THS going for 10-0 and Franklin has a strong JV team coming in as well.

As I posted in the 2A thread youth & injuries have prevented us from being a good team this year. With that being said we are 12 points away from being 9-1 instead of 6-4. I expect the Mounties to win but it's hard to get a read on this game. One thing for sure win or lose your team will know they played a football game Friday night when they wake up Saturday morning. Hope it's a good one & injury free for both teams!

Couldn't pick up a radio feed on the game. I have no idea what went down other than a 24-8 Tuscola win. Congrats to the Mounties & good luck going forward.

28-14 Tuscola, 10-0 on season
The Tuscola JVs had a memorable season. They finished undefeated and no team came closer than Franklin at 28-14. I think there were 6 second half running clock rules. (or 7 Im not sure) Lots to look forward to at Tuscola down the road.

Franklin won the toss, deferred. Tuscola went 3 and out but Ferguson had a 45 or so yard punt. Tuscola then scored when they sacked the Franklin QB who fumbled and the ball was picked up by LB Brayden Monday to score. Franklin was pretty conventional and controlled the ball for the rest of the 1st quarter.
Both teams were assessed unsportsmanlike penalties on asst. coaches in the first half.
Perkins scored the other two TD's on keeps and we had a FG just before half time.

What scared me was it was almost like the Pisgah game, being up17-0 and kicking off to start the 2nd half.
