Ok figured I would start this one. Gonna be honest I do not know one thing about Rhea.
Except for what the gentleman from there posted in another thread.
So I will say good luck to all and GO TUSCOLA!!!!

I can tell you alittle more about the team. Rhea runs mainly out of the double wing. We will get in other formation and even the spread from time to time when we have to.

Leading the team at QB is 6’4 Senior #9 Kyle Carr. Carr took over for Coach Pemberton’s son Zach who started for 3 years at Rhea. Carr has a lot of the tools to be a successful QB in this system.

Jackson Langley#23 (6’0 180) and Dalton Hampton #21 (6’3 185) are the one two punch for Rhea this year. Langley is the only back that returns with significant playing time from last year. Langley and Hampton had good games both going over 100 yds and a combined 4TDs. Langley averaged 13yds a carry and Hampton averaged 9 yds a carry in the first game.
At fullback Alday and Young are the two fullbacks that will see the most carries. Young looked good carrying the ball this past Friday racking up 54yds.

Cowley and Reed are the two primary receivers. Both are more possession guys than burners.

The O-line returns a good big of experience. The line is anchored by Stringfellow #51 (6’4 250).

Defense wise we run a 3-4. The D-line is pretty veteran. The linebacking Corp is very talented led by Sr Bradley Goodwin #40. Goodwin the heart and soul of the defense. He racked up 14 tackles against Knox Carter. Sr Destin Shelfer #16 is a good linebacker with good speed. The secondary is very young but showed some promise in the first game.

The kicking game is solid it’s led by Saul Ochoa. Strong leg and usually can get the job done.
We didn’t punt last week so I’m not sure how that will look. It looked good in warm ups.

Our head coach is Mark Pemberton. He won a state title in Tennessee at Knox Catholic with current Minnesota Viking Harrison Smith. He is 56-21 at Rhea. He was our Offensive coordinator before he left to Catholic. But now he is back as our head coach

I hope to see you all on Friday. Also for next year we travel very well. I think we will bring a big crowd up there next year. We traveled very well to Indiana a few years ago.

Expecting a good game. On paper this looks to be a pretty even matchup. Safe travels to all the Tuscola people making the trip.
GO EAGLES!!

After 1a Robbinsville took it to the Mounties, I do not have a good feeling about Friday night. If we were taking this Big T team across the Mtn we may have a chance....

Or this one...

We can’t keep doing the same things and expect different results. Not a knee jerk reaction just the truth!

Good win for Rhea tonight and Jackson Langley stays hot.

Thank you Tuscola for coming over. I hope you all have a safe trip back. I was impressed with the crowd you brought. Much much better crowd than Carter.

From an outside prospective the talent is there for Tuscola, but too many penalties and turnovers. The QB is an athlete but you can tell he is only a sophomore. Good luck to you all and we will see you next fall in Waynesville.
