Todd Trantham is the new principal at Tuscola. Good hire in my opinion, Waynesville Cat/Football Guy. On Tuscola

From what I hear around town most people are very happy about it. They are happy it was a guy who has deep roots here. Now I know that doesn’t automatically make you a good principal.. but he’s qualified.. been in the school system a long time.. and on the brightest side.. never wore a Pisgah Jersey haha. He came through a good bit after me, so I got to watch him and his brother play who is actually a cop now. It’s good to see boys like that grow up and give back where they came from.
I hope he does a good job for the kids. The last two principals have been a prime example of how to not perform the job and how to do it right. I hope Todd is more like our last principal than the one we had prior to that. Pisgah may also have a new principal. It will be interesting to see if she goes back to the central office.
She did (THS grad) as well as the WMS prinicipal (Pisgah grad).
I had heard that one of the comments received from the community regarding a new Tuscola prinicpal was that people wished to see someone vested in this side of the county chosen.
Mr. Collins should receive some credit for reviving what was a moribund atmosphere on the hill from his predecessor.
Lots of change in HCS at all levels, on both sides of the county. Its going to take some time for everyone to get their feet wet.

I think we did good getting Todd back. Todd Barbee will do a fine job at WMS, too. Very approachable, likable man.
