This is the biggest area in need of improvement, especially in B1G play, and I would love to see a conscious effort in these next two games to take better care of the ball.

Corey, Freeman, Gettys and Laurent are all averaging around one turnover per 10 minutes of play. Contrast that with Nigel at one turnover per 20 minutes of play.

The main causes are traveling calls and forced or lazy passes into the defense, all of which can easily be cleaned up with practice and coaching.

This team is still learning to play together with all the new faces and the new system. I figure they will get some of the stupid turnovers cleaned up before conference play, when teams will force additional turnovers. I could see us being in the 12-15 range per game all year.

Most amazing thing was in the first 3 games we averaged about 17 turnovers and still won big. Past years with our thin margin for error that stat would all but clinch a loss . This year we have overcome it but totally agree we need to keep it under or about 10. It was 11 against Niagara so hopefully that starts the trend to bring the turnovers down.
