Something to keep an eye on.. if BJ is fine in the NBA, then that will be the final telltale sign on Calipari's coaching.

Because Maxey and IQ are two of the bigger surprises in the NBA right now, and they are both playing at levels we didn't really see here.

And then Herro, SGA, Keldon Johnson is lighting it up, You could make the argument that, at this point, that Cals coaching might actually be holding these guys back. BJ Boston and Clarke might be the worst players in the top25.. that's not a good look for Cal.
Maxey and IQ were great players at UK. SGA and Herro were not five stars coming out of high school. Of the 4 , Maxey was the only one that impressed from day one and , even he had growing pains in the early season. They all 4 developed tremendously under Cal. The problem this year is that none of our guys have shown the high level of improvement of those type guys with possibly, the exception of Askew. Askews ceiling is not as high as any of those guys in my opinion.

OP you are correct on the FLOP but Boston turning the ball over 3 times down the floor did not help. Boston is the worst player UK has had in many years.

But the argument can be made that they are ALREADY showing more at the NBA level. I mean Maxey dropped what, 39 points, as a 20 year old in his 6th NBA game? These guys clearly had more to show than what we saw here.. and they aren't the first players to do so.

Missed free throws and Boston cost us this game… .. again.
Boston might be the worst 5* I've ever seen. 3 straight turnovers in addition to another horrible shooting day, is a loss every time.
Cal is flipping all of us the double bird this year. Playing Boston and sacrificing games to get the kid NBA ready, is ********.
I will never support Cal again. He can kiss my ***. Anybody with 2 eyes can see that Boston is not going to snap out of it, stop playing him until he earns it in practice. This kid is just not a good basketball player.
Then he continues to sit Allen.
I can't believe we are 4-8. This is UK. F*ck Cal.
So Allen didn't get a lot of playing time today? And I'm sure cal wouldn't mind telling you that you can kiss his ***! What you making on your job? And I'm sure those same players can tell you that you can kiss their ***..in the end..those 18,19 year olds..will be making millions...hmmm

I’ll always back UK, Cal and the team. I’ve supported the program since 1966. Boston is absolutely the biggest recruiting bust I’ve ever seen at UK. Cal needs to keep his @ss on the bench where he can’t hurt the team. He can’t shoot and he can’t play defense. Most of the team was hustling today and his @ss was just trotting up and down the floor. Worst shooting team I’ve ever witnessed at UK. I totally agree Cal needs to start Allen. Also, Sarr is disappointing. Not physical at all but he does hustle and has some offense. I can’t figure out what offense Cal is running, but this team looks lost most of the time. Not sure what’s happening with Cal and these kids, but doesn’t look like a UK team for sure. Maybe, Cal just recruited kids that don’t listen and can’t comprehend what he’s trying to teach them to do. I’ll be patient and see what happens the rest of the year, and hopefully next year will be better.

We had a tenuous hold, at best, on this game until the ridiculous foul called on Mintz. An obvious flop, reviewed, and allowed to stand.

Auburn gained momentum after that and we have struggled mightily since.

Probably, everybody here knows UK has NEVER actually lost a game, its almost certainly the refs fault. Dont forget the NCAA,SEC, announcers that are usually against UK,ESPN,CBS and of course Duke and Rat Face.

Yeah, it's a free country, you can tell anyone to kiss your *** and you know what else is great about this country? You can have a voice. You can kneel during the national Anthem for no reason, you can riot, you can burn buildings down, you can beat people up and get this, you can get on an internet forum and type out your opinions on what you saw during the game.
So kiss my ***.

You may very well be right, although it could be, at least in part, that they have developed over the time they have been playing both at UK and at the pro level. I personally give much credit to the guys maturing physically and mentally. I agree with you on Maxey although I also remember him having a similar point total in his first game at UK.
There are several of our past players that I thought would be very successful in the NBA. After being drafted in the first round, making an initial splash, they fell back and from what I know fell out of the league. It is a mixed bag but Pat Riley and I think the players at UK have been well coached and prepared for the next level.
I remember the old statement that the only person who could hold Michael Jordan under thirty points a game was Dean Smith. MJ worked hard, matured and then exploded.

All of those players were good at UK under Cal. Very good actually. Keldon is the only one you could use for that argument. The rest over-excelled at UK under Cal.

We were clearly robbed. 8 on 5 like usual. We'd be 8-4 if we could ever get a fair whistle.

How about the 3 straight TOs in what seemed like 30 seconds that led to 6 points for Auburn in the second half.
