sure. I'm just saying if he's interested in the NFL they will be much more interested in his pass blocking ability. for NFL draft status he will need to practice and show pass blocking ability.
Move the line of scrimmage on running plays and keep the QB clean, everyone wants that.

It’s more of an indictment on our QB’s. He knows they’re not good at this thing called the forward pass.

Not sure we're any good at the sideways pass either. The backwards pass...now there is our forte.
Farniok getting drafted was a fluke. With a lot of smaller schools not playing, a number of prospects choosing to come back for another year and the pandemic keeping scouts off the road, it was a banner year for marginal players from major conferences to get drafted. The draft was very light after the 6th round.
The Colts’ Quenton Nelson (heard of him? best interior OL in the League) started wearing these hats in 2019, folks.

Jaimes? Yes. Farniok? Wasted pick IMO. He's a big guy who played 3 spots so maybe sticks on the practice squad for emergency use at best. Dallas's O line was HORRID last year.
EVERY O lineman I believe would MUCH rather fire off the ball and deliver a shot to a D linemen or linebacker instead of having to backpedal and get beat on. Good take and good hat. Run the ball. Throw the play action over the top AFTER the D starts cheating up. Win the game. I would for once like to see us be able to pound it for a few series, get a couple of first downs, and THEN throw a seam route to a streaking slot WR or a TE.
the NFL today is not the NFL of the 80s and 90s. the NFL will notice you. But they wont draft you very high if you are a tackle who didn't excel in pass protection. it helps development of pass blocking skills if you actually practice and perform those skills frequently.
