With the way I see this season going ,the tunnel walk will be disappointing to watch. I will always support the kids on the field, but the coaching staff needs to go!

I think the tunnel walk is ok..good way to get the game started.
I'd like to see us go back to a dr. tom type offense more though,
with more real run blocking and running
and less incomplete passes and turnovers.

I liked moving the chains, winning time of possession, and taking over games in the 4th quarter alot more,
then whatever it is we have now.

Not sure about the less incomplete passes. Frazier only had one year where he was above 50%, Crouch had two, neither made it above 55%.

I feel like a broken record but it really doesn't matter what O is run, TO could have made them all successful because of his mind for the game. He flat knew how to coach and put players in a position to be successful. We could go to the power game and likely flat on our face as we don't have anyone to coach technique. If they can't teach the fundamentals, it doesn't matter how you line up.

Don’t care about it anymore. What once brought tears of pride to my eyes, now simply means the games about to start.. I voted “Don’t Care”. But if I got no plans I’ll still watch.

I disagree, I think our old style of offense was a lot easier to recruit for NU, then this pass happy one...
it's easier to build run blockers then pass blockers, and it's easier to get a abdul muhammad then a jerry rice, it's easier to get a tommie frazier then joe montana, etc.

so far the pass happy fan has shown no results...when I see thee results, I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong.
we haven't won 1 conference championship since pass happy fan has had his way.

The problem with your examples are that we have the athletes to compete in the League. What we don't have is the same level of coaching we did in the 90's. Do you really think, if Tom were still coaching, that he would be running the same power game? He would not have changed and would be recruiting some of the same kids we have now?

no, dr. tom got away from passing after ferragamo, because oklahoma owned the 4th quarter..he realised either going 3 and out or scoring quickly (by passing) both left your defense on the field alot.....and by the 4th quarter they are spent. this is in his first book, more than winning.. that's why he started going to the run more. and controlling the clock......also Dr, To recruited run/pass qb's not your typical I want to go to the NFL with my arm qb (joe montana's)... he recruited receivers thats could block, and block they did....not your typical, I want to go to the nfl with my receiving, wide receivers (jerry rice)...I won't even mention the home grow run blockers...3 out of the 4 pipeline were from within 50 miles of lincoln...he wasn't out battling other teams for pass blocking o-linemen..now he did go head to head against the nation for rb's and defensive players....but the running offence was a different deal...

infact opposing coaches hated it cause only Nebraska ran that type of offence and were not prepared for it...

but after winning 3 NC's with it in 4 years, and solich dumbing it down to crouch left/crouch right......the pass happy crowd took over with callahan, and it's been downhill since..

I will say Dr. Tom was a bit sharper then frost at the same age, but I do see some things frost having to deal with be a lil more difficult, like the above recruiting against everyone for the same passing system/players as mentioned above..
also more teams use strength and conditioning now, and other things put in place to make more parioty...
