Disappointing that they targeted Crawford. There’s at least one Rice player that should have 3 fouls at halftime.

We need to hit the point blank shots we’ve been missing.

Also, when our players are getting thrown to the court and no foul is called, that’s a whole load of bovine excrement.

And I hate effing Rice.

Out coached and blown out in the second half. Rice took 17 threes in the first half. They made adjustments and took 3 in the second choosing to pound the ball inside. We never adjusted

We apparently need some effing linebackers on our women’s team to flatten opponents and not get called for fouls. This is the second team we played where the opposition has gotten away with murder. Someone’s going to get hurt.

Women’s basketball can be a lot like women’s soccer and for all the same reasons.

Do we need better athletes or better coaching or just more money for both? You just don't lose to Rice.......
We definitely need more height and depth a center. The last two games both teams had taller and bulkier inside players. They controlled the boards. I was only half joking when I said the Rice women got more pancakes (football term for knocking player opposing player to the ground on a block) in the TU game than their football team did all season.

I hate to keep harping on officiating but Cartwright has been knocked to the ground at least 7 times in the last two games. Three of those were vicious hits. One was not a foul (previous game) because both players were wrestling for the ball when the other player out muscled her and throw her over her shoulder to the ground which led to Cartwright’s head slamming on the court. The other two were fouls but not called. One after she made a layup the other player took her out under the basket causing her to hit her head on the base of the goal support. Another time she was knocked down while catching a pass (IIRCC). Basketball can be physical but unlike football it is not supposed to be a collision sport.
