This is a very big game for Tulsa. Another opportunity for a win against a Big 12 opponent. I think we match up pretty well with them. I am interested to see the Solomon and Etou battle. What do we need to do to come out of Stillwater with a win? Discuss!

Etou against the length of OSU is going to be fascinating. OSU plays solid defense but struggles on the offensive end at times.

To win we need OSU to shoot poorly from three imo ala K State.

Yep, a tight active zone and REALLY bad shooting by OSU is TU's best hope. Game in 50s and TU might pull it off. If so, it would make this a satisfactory OOC (despite the Lamar and Illinois State disasters - by the way ISU won at Ole Miss tonight, what a weird team)

With OSUs offense, this may actually be a realistic outcome that could very well happen, especially if we get hit from 3

ISU is a young team with a lot of new parts. They will get better as the year progresses.

OSU attacked the zone today with a high low post look using Solomon and Sima. OSU played a lot of zone when Sima was in the game today. I look for that to be a trend due to his size and shot blocking ability. Etou should have plenty of opportunities from the perimeter.

I expect an OSU easy win 15 points or so. But I suspect the line will be OSU by 10. It was in TU 's favor for OSU to score a huge, NCAA tourney type win at FSU today. Hopefully, the Pokes will be overconfident and the crowd will be non-existent (unlike the atmosphere for the WSU game).

It would be sweet to win with Scott Sutton on the bench.

I have a bad feeling about this game. There's no sweeter feeling for me then beating OSU in any sport, but we are just way to inconsistent. Say what you want about their weak ooc, ours hasn' been any better, and theyre 8-2. With almost none of their wins even being close. Itd be a different story if Jeffries were in

We will need to come out on fire and hope they are cold, that's the only way I see us winning, if we had a good coach that didn't sub every 3 minutes, I would feel a lot better about this game

My concern is turnovers. OSU forced 19 and 22 against Wichita and Florida State and got lots of easy baskets to make up for poor outside shooting. We can't afford that tomorrow night.

any idea why the game starts at 8 PM? That makes it a really late drive home for fans of both teams.

Assume TV. All of OSU's game are televised.
It is because of tv. Televisednon some fox sports channel. I get it on FIOS here in Virginia. Glad I’m off Wednesday so I don’t have to go in tired.

Already there RPI is #23 one place behind Wichita State. Iowa St. has won eight straight since losing their first two.

GO TU!!!!

Yep....as is an 8pm game. They will be lucky to get 3000 in attendance.
Back in the 1960's all of TU's home games tipped off at 8 p.m. The freshman game (The "Golden Gales") started at 5:45. All at the friendly confines of the Fairgrounds Pavilion!

I was there among the 2900 fans. You could sit anywhere. Both teams played terrible but TU was the least bad. It was truly the end for Ford.

I was there myself, hoping for a repeat of that tomorrow night, I don't think we are nearly the underdog ( if we even are one) as much as we have been saying. Kansas State is just as good as OSU if not better, not getting my hopes up but would not be surprised by a TU victory tomorrow night

Idk... he has a point. There is a pretty decent number of TU fans who are some of the whiniest curmudgeons of just about any sports fans out there.

Other than Zit and Grad, all opinions should be welcome here. There's not enough of us left to go after each other. McCane doesn't need my help, but he didn't say anything that should have triggered a negative response.

By something like 20 if I remember correctly.

It was actually a really fun game. Sold out, mostly TU fans with just a smattering of orange, the student section had some random osu fans too... they weren’t super happy with their seating arrangement. All in all, one of the most fun games of the Douglas era.

OSU fan sitting about three rows up and across the isle from us left at halftime and came back with a TU pullover.

I paid attention during the next game and yea, he was actually a TU season ticket holder.

What a pu$$y...
Who even does that?
Well, besides him...

One thing I have noticed about OSU fans is they always seem like they are angry about something , btw , it's nice not to have an OSU invasion on th board like football season.

Sadly, I don’t think that’s all that uncommon.

There are a lot of TU season ticket holders that wear red or orange when we play the state schools.... some of them even played ball for TU.

When I still parked in the gold lot, it would make me so angry that TU season ticket holders would be hosting tailgates for the state schools and blocking parking spots.

There were students at TU when I was there that would wear OU/OSU stuff when would hosted them at our place. It's really pathetic and is a microcosm of the problems TU has getting attendance. Nothing pisses me off more...I wouldn't be caught dead wearing that crap ever...especially to my own schools games.
