Seems about right since we are in NOLA. What say you?
I think the Cats are undervalued coming into this year. A closer to reality line would be Tulane -2. There have been a number of years when taking the Cats and points have been a good bet, and this could well be one of them.

Hope you're right, but it's anybody's guess at this point.

Wasn’t the line at -7 earlier? The most interesting thing about a -6 line would be if it’s moving in Northwestern’s direction—wonder if that signals the BYU QB isn’t going to be fully ready for Week 1/studied up on the playbook?

It opened at 7.5. Down to 5.5 now in some books.

If there's a choice between high humidity under direct sun or high humidity and rain, I'd take the rain.

Just remember Tulane went to the AAC conference championship game last year where it lost to last years surprising Army team. Tulane finished 9-5 with losses against Three top 25s, as well as a rebounding and very motivated lets-save-our-coaches-job Florida team in the bowl game and their one bad game, Memphis.

No sleeping on Tulane! And the heat index will be crazy.

Who claimed it is a cakewalk?

Big Ten programs shouldn’t expect to lose to AAC teams. I pretty much guarantee you that the players don’t expect to lose.
I’m about to post a poll: which was NU’s most embarrassing loss of the Fitz era?

We can lose to any team on any given Saturday.

And Tulane got one of the hottest QB transfers on the market. It’s going to be a real tough game. Doesn’t mean we can’t win but we can’t play a B-/C+ game and expect to come out with a win. We need to play at least a B+ game.

Tulane's star quarterback and running back moved on and Retzlaff joined the team after spring practice. so I'm going to be cautiously optimistic but we have to PUT POINTS ON THE BOARD, unlike most of last year.

We have to bring our A game every week. I trust Braun will have the team fired up. We caught a lucky break with the weather as it’s forecasted to be overcast 85 with some rain. Perfect B1G weather, and we just have to be physical and limit our mistakes in Game 1. We need to win the battle in the trenches on both sides of the ball, simple as that.

The humidity will be about 5x what anyone in the B1G would recognize ( at least until Florida St. joins the league!), but 85, cloudy, with rain possible is about the best-case scenario for us in terms of weather. Should be a decent equalizer.

Retzlaff didn't really want to leave Utah, came in after spring practice as you say and is carrying some emotional baggage. He may have trouble finding his grove in this new gig. If Saka can bury him a couple of times in the first half, he could easily crumble.

The line has moved a lot and it’s now down to -4.5! Anyone know why? Injuries on the Tulane side?

Don't love this matchup. Friends from Feinberg who works down there says they have the the entire o-line 15-20lb heavier than listed due to some GMO red bean they put them on.

Cam Porter up the middle 10 times will keep em honest. Allowing us more time in passing game. We got solid skill position players.

If you don’t love this matchup, I would suspect you will only love two matchups all year.
