Just a note for those Kleiman boosters who think Tulane wasn’t a bad loss. Tulane may end up ranked but they’re not a great team.

I guess I can forgive the Tulane loss, since it was K-State and Leipold was coaching a different team in a different city at the time.

Otherwise, this was an absolutely killer take. You're on a real roll today.

Yeah I couldn’t find the thread but the poster had insisted that the Tulane loss wasn’t a bad loss for ….. Kleiman.

that was me, and it wasn’t a bad loss.

Tulane is 7-1, ranked, and ahead of Fickell in the AAC.

P5 teams should generally beat G5 teams, but let’s not pretend he lost to an FCS team.

further than that, none of it negates the fact that Klieman has a recipe for beating far superior teams like OU, and has strong lines on both side of the ball. It’s really weird if you’re against that

come to think of it, aren’t you a big Bill O’Brien guy?

the same Bill O’Brien who lost to G5 teams like Ohio and UCF? The same Bill O’Brien whose best season is still not as good as Kliemans first?

Tulane outgained them by 200 yards. They threw a pick 6 and missed a couple of FGs that cost them. They are well coached. Very veteran defense that doesn't make many mistakes.

Klieman has lost to an FCS team while coaching at K-State. I believe North Dakota State beat them one year.

it was Arkansas State, actually.

bad loss, but that was also in the Covid season from 2 years back. I think the back-to-back wins against Oklahoma have more than made up for that.

At least the second time I've seen you hold up Oklahoma as some sort of giant beating measuring stick. And they're not. They're just....not. With all due respect.

With all due respect, that’s just a silly thing to say buddy.
  • 4 trips to the playoffs
  • 8 seasons of 10+ wins the last decade
  • 10 conference titles in the past 20 years
  • 5th best winning % all time

care to show me who else can say the same?

Oklahoma is the Ohio State of the Big 12. Everyone knows the road to winning the Big 12 runs through Oklahoma, save for this year
