Tulane is NU 2005

Tulane won their Bowl game under Willie Fritz today. The have a solid offense under a transfer QB from LSU. Like NU with Zach Kustok that fired up NU.

Fritz is turning around a Tulane team, selling the school as a great education for life, great City, and solid football. It’s what Fitz was selling post Walker, and other academic schools have taken notice. Don’t shy away from your academic standards, sell it to parents and kids.

Good to see Tulane on NU’s longer term schedule. Fun location, improving team, academic school, all good for a longer term relationship.

Tulane is in a much weaker conference, and there is much less commitment to athletics. Moving the stadium on campus was a good move for Tulane.

We'll know they are really getting better when they resume their series with LSU. They'd lost 18 straight when they stopped it in 2009. Used to play it in the Superdome I think.

Moving the stadium is an impressive engineering feat. Schools really will do anything to stand out these days.
