you are correct. korita has a left wrist injury and has missed several games. could have used his passing and ball handling today.Korita hasn't played in the last several games. I think he's injured.
he has done this all season. drive and force the shot at the rim and either shoot and miss, turn it over or throw it away. hardly ever kicks it out to an open player when he drives inside. Not sure how they did not credit wheeler with any turnovers. There were several drives where the possession changed with the ball in his hands or being blocked. He had a horrible first half.

thank you for reading my posts. I am not talking down anyone. I am just stating my opinion, just like everyone else on this board. I have watched every game for the past 37 years and have all this years games recorded. I am retired , so I have lots of time to watch these recorded games and see what is going on. I talk up korita because imo he handles and passes the ball better than wheeler, hendersonn, birt and sometimes taplin. in my other posts I talked about wheeler, Henderson and taplin driving to the rim and trying to score against bigger players and getting blocked, turn overs and throwing the ball away. Henderson has done a lot better lately. they do not kick the ball out during drives very well, I know korita has not shot the 3 ball well as a freshman, but neither did juice or shaq as freshmen. shaq never shot the 3 well at any time in his four years. also, you have made my point about wheeler in your posts in the threads "cinci" and "game thoughts Cincinnati". again, its just mo.33 posts by lynesrun. A vast majority either talk up Korita or talk down Wheeler & sometimes Henderson.
Ball security has to be a focus in summer and fall drills. Additionally I hope they work on passing to cutters while moving. If you are going to have a drive based offense you can't have one guy driving while the rest watch. You need to have two or three guys moving toward or around the basket that will either pull defenders away or provide a target for a pass from the driver. That was the main weakness of our offense this year, a ballhandler driving unaided into three defenders.Lynesrun, stating opinions is what these forums are for, so please keep posting. I just noticed a singular theme. Rooting up a particular player is great. Rooting up a player while commenting down on other players who play the same position is what caught my attention.
I agree our guard play was poor this season. Wheeler started the season well & ended poorly. Wheeler, Henderson, Taplin, ( & even Birt & Étou) drove into trouble & didn't make good decisions. Korita did make good decisions at times, but he also turned it over at times & he had the worst FG & 3 point FG % on the team. I can see Korita as a stabilizing force next season, but I don't see a future Shaq or Woodard.
I'm hoping Curran Scott & Elijah Joiner make big contributions next season. We need better shooting & less turnovers next season. Our assist to turnover margin was -107 this season. We turned it over 72 more times than our opponents. That's a big reason we had a losing season. Haith likes to include his big men in ball handling, & they had too many turnovers as well. So ball handling by ALL players must improve next season.
Nevada homerun analysis. That is what confuses me on Taplin. At times I think he has what it takes. But than I finish watching a game and realize the problems with our passing and wonder if Tap has the tools to run a Haith offense. Regardless we need to accomplish your off-season goals.Ball security has to be a focus in summer and fall drills. Additionally I hope they work on passing to cutters while moving. I agree on what you say, but I would like to clear up one thing. I did not say that korita was going to be as good or better than juice or shaq. no one know that right now. all I did was compare the three of them on 3 point % as freshmen. as for commenting down on other players who play the same position, do not read just my posts, read all the other posters on here who talk about wheelers play. mo.Lynesrun, stating opinions is what these forums are for, so please keep posting.
