I'm all about veteran players returning to UK. We've been screwed over by so many G-league level players leaving way too early and in the process, Cal lost out on recruits because those players waited so long to make their decisions.
Having said that, I think it's best that Brooks moves on. I don't care where he goes, but I'd rather it not be back at UK.
He's about as good as he's going to get and frankly, that’s just not good enough. He's a net negative player.
I'm sure some douche is going to come at me and say "but, but, but … .the kansas game" yeah, yeah, yeah, a blind squirrel and nut situation is what that is.
If we had a coach that didn’t play favorites, kept his word and didn't throw non-NBA kids in the doghouse, I would feel differently, but this is Toppin's time. His upside is better, he just needs more game time to grow his game, which he won't get if Brooks returns.
