For the most part he was kicking the kickoffs to the endzone correct? I think I remember one, after our second touchdown, that went to the 5 yd line......... So the question (may be a Germanic question) is IF Day had been on kickoff duty against KSU would we be sitting here at 4-0 and pretty damn happy with everything???? That damn kick off return still hurts

I hate to be "that guy", but IF the refs had just called the obvious block in the back on that return....

It was kicked into the endzone wasn't it? 100 yard return. I don't remember how deep, maybe only a step or two - and don't know how the hangtime compared.

I'd have rather us run it twice to start the 4th quarter. Seems like it was 3rd and 5 or so, and we took a deep shot at Mitchell. I really expected us to use 3rd and 4th down to try and keep that drive going.

kicked to the goal line. believe the returner paused as he didn't know exactly where his feet were (for kneeling in the endzone)....and that pause was enough to align us just right

It was actually a step or two inside the end zone. When he hesitated and then decided to run it out, my initial reaction was great, we can pin them deep now.

This is dumb. While it is great to get a touchback, our guys just didnt make the play. That was a back breaker for sure, but the kicker was not the reason they returned it for a touchdown.

When he hesitated, our guys let up...despite the 2 blocks in the back, we didn’t have a “safety” on the kickoff....we kick from the left hash and our Kickoff coverage is stacked to that side of the field

I've seen returners bobble the catch, then run it back. I thought we were going to pin them too. Difference in the game.
