*Lost to 20 unranked teams.

*Posted a meager record of 20-17 against top 25 teams.

*Posted a 4-6 record against Tennessee.

*Fielded a 9-loss team and an 11-loss team.

*Suffered embarrasing NCAA Tournament losses to Indiana and Kansas State.

*Failed to advance to the Final Four.

All this sounds very Tubby-esque to me.

Hate to admit it, but you can see the comparison if you don't use Tubby's final 2 seasons when he just quit recruiting.

However, Cal is CONTINUING to recruit at a level Tubby NEVER reached. Cal will NEVER quit working. I trust Cal to fix this because he has PROVEN himself many times over!!

Here's my credentials...
1.) Coached my Church League team to a pretty much make believe Championship 2 years in a row.
2.) I'm a good people person when I'm not at work or on the couch which is only like 80% of the time.
3.) I went undefeated with UK in 5 out of 6 seasons on College Basketball 2009 (PS3 game) and have won the National Title 6 seasons in a row.

Are you serious ?? You don’t think Kentucky, a place where every coach besides 2 has won a championship, could find a coach to meet the success of our past 5 years? We are paying coach cal more than anyone else, but we aren’t getting blue blood results.
Last 4 seasons, duke and Kansas both have been a 1 or 2 seed 3 of the 4 seasons.
Coach cal has had 3 seasons with 10 or more losses in 10 years ( 2 more with 9 losses) ; duke and Kansas both have 2 10 loss seasons in the past 20!!!!!

I’m disgusted with this team and with this performance tonight. Cal has got to get his head out of his ***.

With that said, Tubby went to just 2 elite 8’s his final 8 years here. He lost in the second round multiple times. Florida completely dominated us for the last part of his tenure. Our program was in a bad shape when he left and the keys were given to a drunk maniac.

This is not comparable. At all.

And the 2004-2005 team had Rajon Rondo who might quite literally slap the taste out of the mouths of our last few PGs. Also, we had Patrick Sparks and was what should have been a 4 point play away from going to the Final 4.

They lost in elite eight and then in the second round. It was my last two years at UK, I remember them well. Loved those teams but those were the highlight of the Tubby years - which compare with the lowlight of Cal

2003 might be the team to challenge that notion but I’m on your side here. That is the one possible exception not the rule.

Cal is far from Tubby. When Cal gets bounced in the second round two years in a row and then has no recruiting class coming then people may have a case. We’ll be much better next year. This year just sucks right now.
