Not what we're used to seeing for an early first term President...I think they really don't mean chit unless there is a viable alternative (see 2016 election as prime example). Yeah there might be something to his ability to push his agenda, but I don't think the GOP was ever just going to follow him - and that's not necessarily a bad thing.

Mostly agree. The GOP would have followed him or at least kept up appearances they were if his numbers were higher. IMO, this immigration plan is DOA with his current numbers. He may have had a fighting chance if they were better.
