Price of hamburger is down in GA. Confirmed this week. Price of gas going back down too from last month.dpic...all accurate...but are those items the economy? the chart left out, GDP, jobs and some other elements of "the economy"
But for certain. prices are up on a multitude of things, no one can or should argue that. And the, or at least one, of the underlying causes is the war in Iran, I doubt if anyone could or should argue that. Then add in tariffs....
That's why Republicans are in trouble this election...they keep telling us the economy is good, and based on factors they're looking at they may be right...even the FED just said the economy is good, strong, or some positive acclamation. But the reality for most Americans is in your chart, and they are not happy. Even worse, they don't see the administration caring about the numbers in your chart....which is really politically nuts.
BREAKING: President Trump just laid out how deep the fraud goes, and these numbers should make every taxpayer furious.
Trump says the administration uncovered 562,000 fraudulent small business loans. His words: "Not $562,000. 562,000 fraudulent loans."
He also says they cut off funding to hundreds of fake hospice facilities that stole an estimated $1.4 billion, and he thinks the real number is far bigger.
That's your money. It went to fake businesses and fake hospices while working families got squeezed.
Now anyone who turns these crooks in gets 1%.
The party's over, fraudsters. America is coming to collect.
Under Trump they are getting to a point where they can shut a lot of it down for good imo due to upgrade of the information systems orchestrated by Musk and his team.We have been trading off new or increased funding to programs by eliminating waste fraud and abuse for decades. In reality, while we certainly increase the spending the wF&A has only gotten worse. No matter what I might think about the handling of the economy right now, I have to give credit to trump administration for it's efforts in combatting fraud.
Having said that, it's easy to say "we've stopped this or that fraud", the proof will be either in the end of year actual spending or in next years budget requests for the programs where fraud has been found. I've been through this before, many times, where we've eliminated fraud but somehow the spending never goes down.
you would think that AI systems would be able to ID potential fraud....I think the efforts by this administration are long overdueUnder Trump they are getting to a point where they can shut a lot of it down for good imo due to upgrade of the information systems orchestrated by Musk and his team.
This. AI is a game changer when it comes to identifying and monitoring fraud.you would think that AI systems would be able to ID potential fraud....I think the efforts by this administration are long overdue
that's one of the reasons for my statements on the IRS and my questioning the need for nearly doubling their employment. If 90% of returns are using the standard deduction, given the inputs from employers/banks/retirement funds/all income sources, you'd think that there would be limited need for human interaction.This. AI can certainly manage the majority of tax returns for your typical W-2 employee, but the tax evasion / fraud generally occurs with more complex situations (small businesses, ultra high net worth, etc) that will require the skilled human touch / interpretation.that's one of the reasons for my statements on the IRS and my questioning the need for nearly doubling their employment. of course, the issue is the agency's ability to upgrade their hardware and software to take advantage of technological advances. The federal government isn't real good at that.
I doubt you'll find many who will disagree with that....as per this thread, ...do we need 87000 more employees to do that? Why has this not been done before?? Surely anybody worth his weight as a manager knows that the fraud is exactly where you said it was. But we've been hearing about tax evasion/avoidance of the whales for decades...through both Republican and Democrat administrations, yet it still existsAI can certainly manage the majority of tax returns for your typical W-2 employee, but the tax evasion / fraud generally occurs with more complex situations (small businesses, ultra high net worth, etc) that will require the skilled human touch / interpretation.
My view is that the IRS should invest in top-end talent that can first go “whale hunting” and recoup the taxes that will more than pay for a buildout.
