Not a partisan issue. Microsoft reported yesterday that they thwarted an attempt to similarly compromise the Hudson Institute and the International Republican Institute, two conservative think-tanks.

Russia wants to sow as much chaos as they can, they don't care about political leanings. Whatever warnings were apparently discussed in Helsinki are either being ignored or didn't happen. Either scenario is cause for alarm.
