Any truck bed cover recommendation or anything yall would recommend staying away from? Thinking I would like something that I can "roll" out of the way.

I have the Undercover Flex on my Tundra. Its a hard shell 3 fold. Absolutely love it. Never had a bed cover before on any of my trucks so I can't speak to the others. The only one I would consider other than the one I have is the hard roll and lock

Have a hard rough country tri fold low profile on my tundra. I like it, but it essentially makes the first section or your bed unusable imo. There’s a hard tri told out there that stands up against back window totally open that imo is the ticket. Add a pop n lock to the tailgate when you do it to basically turn the bed into a mostly waterproof and fully lockable trunk. Left all of my turkey stuff including gun in there all season. Also look into bed lights. I added OEM Toyotas that work great right alongside the cargo light and retain an oem feel

Soft tri-fold.
Highly water resistant.
Easily removed. Very few minutes. Less than 5 minutes...less than 10 minutes to install-once you learn how.
Folds back when you need to carry something above bed height. This takes about a minute.
Now, is easily entered with a knife.....but pretty can enter any type if one wishes.
Not cheap (but nothing is) but costs much less than any hard cover.

As a guy whom has always said truck bed covers are stupid and defeat the purpose of owning a truck, I bought a 2017 Z71 which had a Diamondback cover installed. I said the first thing I was going to do is snatch it off, but it looks good, it’s rock solid and it has come in handy a few times for hauling stuff that I didn’t really want in the cab, but didn’t want to get wet either. Long story short, I’ve owned the truck for six months and the bed cover is still on it and probably isn’t going anywhere. It’s a hard aluminum cover and it is coated with RhinoLiner or some equivalent. It does leak a bit, but nothing like the soft covers I have seen. I’m a fan and would recommend it over one of the soft covers.

I also have a hard trifold bed cover. With my Nissan it had the tracks on the inside of the bed so no drilling was required and it is pretty easy to remove. I hardly ever remove it though and have had it since 2012. It keeps things dry in the bed and allows you to lock it up. I will always have one on any truck I get.

I’ve never had any type of cover but am thinking of getting one. I will need it to be fairly water proof when traveling. I don’t need to remover the whole thing at any time but would need to fold it back occasionally. Any recommendations with price points?

I had a Bakflip on my last 2 trucks. It is a tri-fold hard covers. Works good. Especially to keep gear out of sight and basically protected from the elements. They are not ideal for someone who really uses their truck bed to regularly haul bulky items.

I got rid of my truck, but I loved my diamondback cover while I had it. Mine never leaked. Sounds like the OP wants something he can roll back, so diamondback might not be for him, even though it's not that hard to take it off if you ever need to haul something taller.

The only two worth having are the roll up and the folding one that folds up behind the window. I like the roll up one with water channels the best.

I have a friend at a body shop that has installed hundreds and he uses the rollup with the channels for water, it even has a drain tube on each side that takes the water to a knockout plug.

They all leak unless you do a solid that caps over the rails, and those suck unless you are never hauling anything.

I bought a Roll N Lock from Trucks Plus in Hattiesburg for my GMC Sierra and I love it. It is very dependable regarding the weather, is easy to open and close, looks clean and doesn’t take up a lot of space. You’d be happy going the route of Roll N Lock.

LEER HF350M. It’s a hard folding tonneau cover that goes over the top of the bed rails. Mine has yet to leak and I have had it around a year and a half and park outside. The nice thing about this one versus most the other ones that go over the rails is that it can be opened from one side of the truck. It’s the best one I found at the time without spending $1,500+ and I did a lot a research before purchasing it.

I have the retrax rolling aluminum cover on mine and like it. Has water channels and drain lines on it. It does collect a lot of dust on the farm but that’s to be expected. My dad has the powertrax version on his truck, it’s motorized.
