Tropical Depeession has formed off FL coast

Some of the latest model runs are taking it up to a cat 2, but most are keeping it a cat 1. It's coming off the west coast of FL now and storm bands are starting to wrap around the center as it looks to be getting ready of intensify.
The problem with this storm/hurricane will be excessive rainfall. It’s not planning on going anywhere fast.

And all of MS will be in right front quadrant so there's the tornado threat.
Landfall looks like it's possibly pushed back to Wed from what I'm seeing. And that's not good. Chance of hailing sting rays and sharknadoes.
Now officially tropical storm Sally. Expected to be a hurricane. Starting to see some hints storm may, not will...may, undergo rapid intensification as it enters a very favorable environment. Some models are tapping into this and blowing Sally up to a strong cat 2 to cat 3 intensity. Other issue is the expected slowing down of movement. Could mean a prolonged period of heavy rain and wind for coastal areas.
I may be misremembering, but wasn't Michael 2 years ago, at this point in the development cycle, predicted to be fairly minor, then turned out to be a Cat 5?
I know it wasn't expected to make 5, but I don't remember what they were forecasting.
I hate that it looks like it's going to trap a bunch of water at the mouth of the river then sit there and churn while it turns east, which will probably just push the surge up. Come on God, give us a break, geez.
Track has now changed to a landfall Tuesday evening around Bay St Louis. It is possible the track may shift further east as more data comes in. Storm is also slowing down so some areas may see prolific rainfall totals.
Seems like it's slowing, which will probably track it farther east. And literally ALL the activity from it is on the East side.
I find weather fascinating to observe first hand, but don't get deep at all into the details. That's my excuse for the ignorance of this question.
Are the moderately breezy conditions with occasional gusts I'm experiencing north of Jackson actually outer wind bands from the storm off the coast?

Yeah, I think low lying areas are going to have a lot to deal with. It seems like it’s intensifying pretty quickly. If there is a solid eye by the 1 o’clock update we may be looking at a strong 2. And as someone else said a little more shift East seems very possible. Maybe Mobile?
According to Wunderground it's tracking toward Point Cadet in Biloxi right now.
Sally has now rapidly intensified to a hurricane with winds of 85mph. That's a 20mph increase over the last hour.

Found this site a few years ago on the reddit thread posted here during Michael (I think) of that old oil rig/lighthouse with a webcam off the Atlantic coast.
