What is the deal with the players getting their jollies off trolling all the time? It’s petty and obnoxious. If you want to go then by all means go. I’m happy when they better their lives. I’m happy when they return. I expect them all to go. I’m surprised when they don’t. No need to troll. Just be a decent person. I don’t think that’s asking too much.

To be fair, a lot of fans troll them and dog them all season. Could just be their way of giving it back. Anyone that takes social media that seriously is asking for it, to be honest.

Interesting point Yeti that I never considered because I don't do it.

It's their one time to take a jab at the disgusting portion of our fanbase that posts trash on their social media feeds, tells them they suck, etc. So fans can call them every name in the book but get butthurt when they delay their decision and have fun with it? Doesn't work that way.

Who is “trolling”? Do you mean Nick Richards putting an EYE EMOJI on HIS Instagram lol ?

Nobody is really “trolling” at all.

I think it says more about someone like yourself who seem to... glue your eyes on these guys social media accounts and dissect every single thing they type?

I don’t mean that offensively, just sayin.

I don’t glue myself to everything they put on social media. There are people I follow who re-tweet. It’s clearly trolling. You can debate if it’s right or wrong. However, the fact that it’s trolling is clear. At least to me it’s clear.

That’s very true. Anyone attacking them on social media is pathetic. I don’t think they need to give it back though through trolling. Just block.

People can follow players posts, but to hang on every post is crazy. And they only troll them if you let them.

Yea, but we are talking 18 - 23 year olds. Emotions run higher at that age, best judgment is not always used.

You can only be trolled if you're trollable. I understand being sequestored is freaking some people out but we are a great program with a HOF coach who has shown he knows how to put together a roster and be ready for March almost every season he's been here. Just relax and float downstream.

I agree. Why anyone sends a player a message on any format is beyond me.

Personally, I'm more interested in their basketball talent than their social media accounts.

They’re just kids man. Grownups should know better than to get all worked up over the whims of a teenager.

They aren't trolling at all.

You have to remember that the world can see what they post. They can't just randomly announce in the comments of a buddy's post. So they put something noncommittal and coy.

The problem is your interpretation and reaction. You see it as "Richards hinted he's coming back!" because that's what you want to see, and every idiotic "news" stealing fan blog churns it out to people like you because it draws interactions.

Be honest with yourself. No one who follows the team closely enough to care is swayed at all by things like that. You've known the reality of Nick's decision since January. If you haven't, you don't care enough to be upset about being misled, even if they were trolling.

Twitter and instagram is for kids, any adults over 25 that follow teenagers should be trolled. I don't have either and doing just fine.

Actually, it’s not what I wanted to see. I’m not naive. I have been conditioned to believe they’re always gone. When they come back I’m pleasantly surprised. I learned a long time ago how it works. I prefer the 90’s, but I’m not naive. That era is gone forever. I just think it’s disrespectful. When I see it, I don’t get my hopes up. Actually it’s the opposite. I usually sigh wishing they would do better. JMO.

Well you’re wrong. 100% incorrect my man. Or have a warped/ incorrect idea of what trolling is. That’s probably it actually.

Don’t be on social media. That’s what feeds it. I don’t follow or do anything on social media that’s not my actual friends. I don’t.m care what an 18 year old in California posts bc he can put a ball in a hoop. We get who we get and then the season starts. I like watching basketball not the soap opera that is recruiting. I do get joy seeing a big recruit commit but I don’t follow all the hoopla around it leading up to it, bc nothing I do controls that decision
