In Mississippi, you meet a girl's Dad, and he will show his gun collection, all of the deer heads that he has mounted, his marksmanship awards for being a sniper in Viet Nam, and then gently tells you that you better not lay a finger on his daighter until marriage- and he better not catch you.

In Louisiana, the Dad gets insulted if you haven't taken his daughter "for a spin". "What you don't like her son?"
