He has not seen one minute of action against Clippers this series. Is he injured? Or he just fallen down the depth chart? I havent followed the Jazz this season and was looking foward to seeing him play.

DNP - Coach's decision,

His playing time was limping down the stretch of the regular season. Guy was looking like a serious PF starter, 15 point and 7 board kinda guy at the end of his rookie season.

Lyles is a very forgettable player. I rememeber him hitting a baseline jumper one time. Other than that I couldn't tell you one play he made. I'm not sayin he was bad, just very forgettable. I was thinking about him the other day and couldn't rememeber if he was on the '14 or '15 team.

Loved Lyles game at UK.

Another guy that needed another year.

Needed another year???
He was drafted 12th, you want him to give up a year of salary so he could come back and be drafted near the same spot the following year?

Or, you think he would have developed more at UK his next year, even though he would have had to go to class and be limited in the amount of practice due to NCAA restrictions vs unlimited practice with NBA facilities and specialized trainers. Yeah, makes sense

Guys, he was a lottery pick. He's probably around 20 years old. He'll be fine. He's not a "Wow" athlete. He just does a lot of things very well and then you realize he's 6'10. He'll never be an all-star but he'll be in the league for as long as he wants with his skill set.

He stinks.

He'll be out of the league in a couple of years. Another reason why you have to leave early at UK if you're not very good. Briscoe should have left last year, maybe he could have fooled some NBA team too.

At UK, you have to leave early if you're very good due to your high draft status. If you're not very good, you have to leave early because the longer you play the more your flaws are on full display. Diallo has it figured out: the best course of action is not to play at all. He understands the contradictory logic of none and done.

I think he meant... once again the NBA went on pontetial instead of actual skill and production. His game was not NBA ready.

Lyles is the type of player and possesses the type of skill set that will be int he league for 10-15 more years. He will never be an allstar but 6'10 big's that can handle the ball, shoot, rebound, and score inside out will always have a spot on a team. If he would have been on any other UK team when we didn't have crazy depth at the 4 and 5 he would have been a star his one year here.

He played about as much this year as last year. But he has better players in front of him, and they are trying to win.

Most notably Joe Johnson, who wasn't with them last year. Also, Ingles is getting a lot more clock than last year.

The kid is a stud and a hell of a player. To have the skills he has and to be so tall and to not play at all hardly is a waste.
