have been watching pretty much all the NBA summer league games to help get thru the offseason. And I know it's just the summer league but Lyles is looking like a future star. Has a very smooth 3 point shot that he doesn't hesitate to put up. Very good 3 point shooter and just an all around versatile monster. Looking like a future star in the league. He's going to have a helluva NBA sophomore season. He has star written all over him tonight. He's been doing everything on offense. Hitting 3's. Turn around jumpers, great post moves, mid range, dunking on people. Very very impressed with him. By far the best player on the court.

During a timeout they had the camera on young and put up a visual profile for young and it said he was 30
Years old and the commentators, whom earlier mentioned he was a part of the '14 draft. Went along with it and were convinced that he's '30 years young' according to the broadcaster. One thing is for sure, you're not getting quality broadcasting here.

Lyles 26 and 11

Dakari, Aaron, and Teague's teams didn't play today.

I watch quite a bit of summer league too. Lyles has a lot to offer to the jazz because hes very different from the other wings/bigs on the roster. For a guy who sort of got lost in the shuffle as a UK player bc of the team he was on, he was one of my favorites.

good signs for lyles. i think you want to see your top picks dominate/shine in summer league in year 2. guys the other night were getting on mitch mcgary. this being his 3rd summer league...he needs to stand out to really make a roster somewhere.

OKC picked up his team option for this season.

Lyles looks good, Utah will be a pretty nice team this season. Top 5 seed I think.

I'm surprised some people complain so much about what others do when there is so much that can be done outside. Raining there, is it? ;-)
Who's complaining? Sitting inside all day watching NBA summer leagues seems like prison. The weather isn't a reason, some would watch this stuff if it was 70 and not a cloud in sight. Just surprises me. I bet the players families don't even watch it much.

Unless I was sick, i wouldn't watch these pointless pick up games for anything. Reminds me of 13 year olds that sit inside and play X-Box all day and night.

Lol I'm a basketball junkie. To compare me watching summer league games to a 13 year old playing xbox all day and night is just hilarious. Nah man I'm in shape. I play pick up ball all the damn time. Sometimes it's too hot outside to even want to do a damn thing. Last couple days have been just that. When I'm bored with nothing to do. I'll watch summer league games when they're on and not ashamed to admit it. A lot of UK players in these games and I can't lie I love watching former players play ball and the fringe players who played at UK make an attempt at making a roster. It's not all meaningless. These games are pretty much tryouts to make rosters. A lot of these players families would love nothing more than for its family to make a roster. Those families I bet are watching every damn second there family member is playing in hopes they make a roster. Some players dreams come true in these games if they're able to make a roster. It's not just a 'pick up game'. When I play basketball that's a pickup game. When fringe NBA players play ball that's a try out for an NBA team.

You should realize that even this second response is like those who see a thread on women's basketball and immediately jump in and post that they can't see how anyone could like women's basketball. You know the response is preprogrammed: 1) well you must care or you wouldn't be posting here, 2) you can just bypass this thread if you don't care. The only other explanation is that you want to show how much better your life is since you do not waste time watching the NBA's D league, you just waste time complaining about others watching it.

Lyles is a player that I always thought the sky was the limit for him. He has the skill set to be a even better Draymond Green and is a couple inches taller. Match up nightmare for most teams he will face.

What if I've been listening to it in the background while playing video games?

Man, if Lyles can win MVP next season, we just might catch up to Coach K's NBA prowess..

Had a contested pull up 3 that was nothing but net. Just a very nasty skill set for someone his size.
Can't imagine if we could have kept him for a sophomore season. Dude would've been insane and exactly what we needed. However, he made the right choice and I'm glad he is doing well. Expect him to have a long successful career.

I'm watching summer league games too - since I don't care for hot, muggy weather; I have them on while taking care of household stuff during the worst part of the day. Usually spend time outside late afternoon/early evening
Is that ok? Want to make sure that's acceptable and all

Lyles ability to play stretch 4 and in small ball lineups will make him a lot of money in today's NBA.

Somebody needs to tell NBATV to stop airing these games since no one is watching.
