Dude I'm a lifelong husker fan for over 20 years who graduated from UNL and had friends I played with play at Nebraska. I said that Scott Frost would be fired the night he was, go back and take a look. I'm having fun with humor because I told so many people things would be different this year and I'm fvcking disappointed.
Way too much "we were the best team ever in the 90s"...not nearly enough "what does it take to win today?"
I also read the room. It's a dark place. This line of thinking is not unwarranted. Deion was never coming here, so its not like we missed on something. It is, however example # 8,675,309 of a 1st year coach taking over a bad team and immediately impressing on the national stage. No coach who has ever been here has taken over a bad team and was in the national CFB dialogue after week 1 of the following season. It is possible to "win now" after a "rebuild." This is only the latest example of proof.

Well…YEAH!! But can we at least see how the team looks after a few more games? (I’m going for how they look after the season ends)
Personally I don’t have high hopes for this season. Never did. I just want them to get enough wins for a bowl game. Sounds like I’ve lowered the bar? Maybe…but we’re talking a total rebuild here so baby steps. Like it or not, we don’t have a whole lot of talent starting on Offense right now so they’re going to have to overachieve. The silly mistakes have to stop and it’s within their power to do so.
Why are you disappointed? Did you have high expectations for this year? If you did you need to ask UNL for your money back because you are a moron. Anybody who thought this year was going to be successful is plain stupid and shouldnt be allowed to discuss football.
Deion was never going to come to Nebraska but was willing to go to Colorado? Yeah. You High AF. He definitely wanted to come to Nebraska. He’s a 80’s kid who grew up on FSU, Miami, and Nebraska powerhouse. He would have killed in Lincoln. We have the fan base still. We have more money. So your saying Deion wants $5.5MM in higher cola area vs $9MM in a lower cola area. Yeah. Sure

It's the lack of perspective. First game, dog by 7 according to the odds dudes, stochastically better ST and D, but yet ANOTHER post about how things are going to suck for the rest of the season and Prime was a better choice than MR. It's not that questions aren't warranted, it's "Well here's my opinion on why things suck, and if it sounds like everyone else's, well, poop."

Deion did have 73 players transfer out and did a complete overhaul of the roster. He DOES NOT have the Colorado team from last year that went 1-11. If you also convinced yourself we were going to beat Colorado next week our offense has a lot of damn work to do. Defense has their work cut out for them. 510 passing yards and 4 TD’s for Shedeur Sanders. Should be interesting to watch.
Well you also tried to make yourself out as a booster of substance with the money talk. Then you also tried to make yourself out as an insider when you stated you knew when Frost was getting fired. So there is that.

This team was a mess last year. We beat Iowa which was cool, but mainly because of lil ferenz and a DC that was too stupid to double cover Trey.
We looked significantly better against Minnesota, except for a quarterback who Throws to the wrong team, And a talented running back with fumbleitis who shouldn’t have been playing in the crunch.
Those problems are mostly fixable, and if Teddy comes back our line is significantly better.
So let things play out. We don’t have urban Meyer as head coach, and that is a good thing. We don’t need another head coach poaching young ladies at bars. We don’t need another us against the world type coach like Sanders. We have been there, done that. We have a normal coach who has brought 2 college football teams back from the abyss. He will get it done. Let’s wait for a few more games before we doom and gloom it.
