or...year 2 really imo. I mean, if you include Vedral, he kinda did year 1 (although immediate eligibility wasn't granted until after season started).

But Year 2, all the eggs were placed in McCaffery, and the other QB's transferred...leaving nothing but Martinez.
It's pretty easy to be critical of Frost with the advantage of hindsight being 50/50, but he really needed to go get the best available guy out there. That room needed some experience.

Agree. And letting Gebbia walk out the door. I’m not saying he would’ve been Marcus Mariota here, but he can throw a football and was a leader on the team.
Come on! What has Gebbia shown this far in his career to believe this to be true. How many years does he have in college football now and what are his accomplishments? I recall the few times he played here he fumbled, threw interceptions and got sacked like any other QB we've had thus far.
Looking at what I just wrote, it kind of does point to the O-line not doing their job. We've had numerous QB play, all with the same results over and over again.

Gebbia transferred very soon after Martinez was named starter. He never played in a game here.

Had Frost waited another week or so to name a starter or at least gave lip service to both getting some series against Akron it becomes too late for Gebbia to transfer - Martinez goes down against CU - gebbia comes in and we likely win that game and the Troy game - we are bowl eligible year one and who knows. Crappy roster management making a decision about the starter before he has to. By all reports it was about an even competition

As I mentioned in my post, I’m not saying he would’ve been Mariotta…but now we’ll never know. He also never played a snap in a live game here. I trust another 4 star QB has as good, probably better, field vision that AM, so I think he could’ve been an asset here.

This team can win 10 games next year. We need to support HCSF and Alberts seems to be tearing him down. This year was a tough schedule. We played close. Alberts needs to let HCSF coach
lolololol at the idea of Alberts "tearing him down". The dude just gave his 15-27 coach a 5th season and let him fire his entire offensive coaching staff (sans the tight end coach) and is letting him make new hires. Frost shouldn't have gotten a 4th season and really shouldn't have gotten a 5th season.
