So savage firing him after GA Southern cost the program millions. Could have waited a few weeks and we’d have been in the exact same spot but our way less money. Is that savage to you? I mean maybe we don’t beat Indiana. That’s about it.
Trev has laughable sports programs. His programs need to have better success on the field/court. Sorry but an AD who has only produced losing programs in all the major sports isnt Savage.

So savage that he is paying out a huge buyout in part funded by donors (donor money that could have used for NIL) because he was too weak to fire him for cause despite there being ample evidence of such.
I guess I never thought of that. True, our programs are very bad with him. Oh well, I still support Trev because he played for TO so he knows what it takes.
The players should get paid what the guys in the 90s did. No need to recreate the wheel

Another good point. Trev knew all along he would fire Frosty. I still think Trev is doing a great job.
Carol Frost was being honored for her own remarkable athletic accomplishments, not because she happened to be the coach's mom. Why would this be a good reason to delay his firing?
Football : Saddled with Frost upon hire. Correctly fired him, and seems to have made the right choice on the replacement.
Men’s Basketball : Simply cursed. Not Trev’s fault.
Volleyball : nothing wrong here
All other sports : don’t matter
Trev’s legacy as UNL AD will be defined by Rhule’s results. Too early to tell, but it feels like we are moving in right direction.

are you dense? The main sports program at UNO went to the frozen four under Trev Btw. Is he some great athletic director? Who knows. But I know slamming an AD for hires he never made is asinine.Pretty sure Jay Moore said it on Big Red Wrap up, but those millions the athletic department could have saved is chump change to them.
It was better to pay the money & get rid of Frost than to save that money & keep him around any longer.

Exactly. And without Trev making Mickey the interim coach we would not have beaten Iowa. Trev knew we needed Mickey in charge.
I’m still not convinced that Frosty got the full payout. Trev only said that they honored the details of the contract, which makes me feel there was some language that caused Frosty not to get the full amount.
Anyone who actually believes in a meritocracy knows Trev was just handed the job because he played here
Any blinded resume for the AD position at a blue blood football school that came from a low tier Summit league AD who had no experience directing a football program and whose basketball program was cratering under his watch would have gone directly in the garbage
It was sad day for all those who tell their kids to work hard and your efforts will be rewarded only to hear that this great job was just handed to what amounts to a trust fund baby without merit

Perhaps the "evidence" is a bunch of rumors with nothing of substance to back it up. Maybe that's why he couldn't fire Scott Frost with cause. I will agree that he could have waited 2 more weeks to fire him and saved a lot of money.
Should have shown Fred Hoiberg the door. It's not his fault for the basketball program being in the condition that it's in, but he could have helped end the suffering by getting rid of Fred.

Rumor is that he was going to be fired at UNO before being gifted the NU job - we hired an AD that was failing in the Summit league
