I genuinely wonder how he feels now, I do not blame him at all for leaving but he is only averaging a few more mins a game.
Was the grass actually greener, or would staying closer to home have felt better?
Was the money enough to justify?
We are nothing to write home about, and most likely, he would not have been able to help us. But man, just getting to wear a UK uniform would have meant so much to me, it would have taken some life-changing money to sway that.

He left for less guaranteed money. Money is not why he left.

I'm sure he considered all those things before leaving and felt he was making the best decision for himself.

It's easier for people like you to say you would do this or that because it's never realistically something you'll have to consider.

Maybe so, but that's not what was reported at the time. I vividly remember Ole Miss offering him 500k, and we were somewhere around 300.

I see people here posting about working second shift and then questioning a 19 year old for leaving to make 200k more per year 😂 I know people in general are very bad about being able to put themselves in someone else’s shoes and look at things from someone else’s perspective but this MB is on another level with it

I don't blame him for leaving but if had stayed at UK for 4 years he would be set for life. But understand him leaving
This is a myth that needs to die. Plus this kid doesn't need UK to be "set for life." He'll be fine. Again this might have been true in the 1970s. Some of you need to get out of the past. Trust me he'll be fine without playing 4 years for UK.

It seems Cal and Travis Perry are those type of situations you think about in your head but don’t keep talking about. People need to let both go. Travis did what he felt was best and Cal
Is pursuing his own ambitions. Kentucky fans need to do the same and let it go. It’s exhausting seeing the same ole threads over and over again.

I don't care how feels now. I don't care about how any Ole Miss players feel. I don't want an apology or a recant. He's a paid athlete who made a business decision. He's not my ex-girlfriend, and I am not 16.

Jesus, some people come in and say crap like living in the past or this is exhausting. WHAT ELSE DO WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT? We are most likely going to the NIT.
I sincerely liked Perry, it was just a random thought I had.
I was curious to hear others' thoughts, if you don't like the subject then skip the thread.
It really isn't that hard to NOT click on something.

If he had known that Lowe would miss the season, I’m guessing he would’ve stayed. At the time it looked like there’d be no minutes available for him. Because of Lowe’s injury, it turns out there would’ve been.

Bu I doubt it would’ve made much difference. He’s just not that good.

He reminded me somewhat of Travis Ford. Just needed a few more years to adjust, along with some hard work.

Would I have done it for 200k is the real question (if that was the number). Honestly, I don't know. I make a decent living now, but I wouldn't turn down 200k for much of nothing.

I think y'all are having difficulty separating Lyon County-Travis Perry and NCAA-Travis Perry.

Travis Ford was All-Freshman on a pretty good Missouri team. I'm not sure if Perry will ever come close to Travis Ford's impact on a roster.

I used to think he was a fool for leaving, but now? I don’t blame him for not wanting to be coached by Pope.

Everybody needs to leave this kid alone all time scorer in high school and most likely will coach some day like his dad. He did what was best for him doesn't owe ky fans _ _ it.

I don’t care if he’s from Kentucky or Khazakistan…kid made a weak move and, like you said, he owes us nothing. We also owe him nothing —- good riddance, Travis Perry. I’d appreciate if you helped Jasper pack his “KY Til I transfer” bags as well.

We're not going to the NIT, though it's most likely what you want to happen.

They didn’t think he was used right. Would play 15-20 mins one game and 2 the next. Our company had an NIL deal with him. Travis and his father which coached him in high school didn’t like how Pope used him and didn’t think it would change
Perry is not a point guard.
It is that simple.
He plays off-ball for Ole Miss.

Why TF would you think Travis Perry would be the only guy who would want to play for Kentucky? He’s one of the only ones ever dumb enough to walk away from it.

Not true, we have had several that walked away from it, why TF would you say that, if you been blue for 34 years. Bradshaw, Hopkins, Collins, Wagner, Thiero, Ivisic, and many more.

Travis is a good player. However, coaches just don’t understand him. You have to play him 35 plus minutes a game to get his best. He might suck for a few minutes, but just tell him he’s going to play atleast 35 minutes, he’ll relax, and start catching fire at some point.

You can’t play and be successful, when you know you’re on an extremely short leash.

Sure, over a hundred and twenty years. “One of the only ones.” Nothing I said is at all incompatible with what you say here, just less abusive and full of it. What ego trips you and your alt or handler @Anon1770473266 must be. Have a great night and be sure to beat the wife for me 👍.
