transfer ticket question

I transferred a bb ticket to a friend and he was not able to download it to his phone, only
print it out..... are transferred tickets downloadable to phones or is printing out the correct way?

When transferring tickets, I have only used the print outs. That doesn't mean it can't be on the phone but just used the paper so far.

thanks.....after posting I was able to reach the ticket office and they said a printed out transferred ticket will get you in....
