Idk man seems if you recruit a 2* that only holds a UT Chattanooga offer and he ends up breaking the all-time SEC record for rushing yards it's more than two-ways about it.

Like he said. Fitz was "serviceable."**

Fitzgerald was a LOT better than serviceable in the offense we were running at the time. One of the best QBs we've had at MSU (admittedly that's not a super high bar). Biggest problem Fitz had was he was the QB that followed Dak, so he'll never measure up to a lot of people. But he was a damn good QB in our offense.

Nah...the only people that think Fitzgerald was better than serviceable are people who can read the SEC record books and also fans of A&M and Ole Miss. Everybody else recognizes him for what he was, which was just another TE playing out of position for us.

KT has been fun to watch up here in Virginia. He definitely wasn't a fit for the Air Raid, but he's been great as a utility player for UVA.

They are using him the way I had hoped we would. Averaging about 10 touches a game, mostly as a receiver.

Sounds to me like you're jealous of him. Fitz is one of the toughest Bulldogs at the Qb position we've ever seen. Absolute warrior. Like Gene Hackman said, that type of commitment deserves and demands your respect.

So technically our recruiting of QBs has been better than ever but they just haven't panned out?

tsun black bears already have a QB transfer waiting after Corral is done. Tyrone Pigrome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qF6DzjQqi3A&t=3s - this cat is LEGIT. I wish Leach could have got him.

He must be pretty good since you’re hyping him up as the secret weapon that takes Alabama down, LMAO.

Although I will say, I went to look up some of his stats to prove how crazy it was for you to be so high on him, and they’re mostly pedestrian, but he did have some really big games at Maryland. Including hanging 51 on a 13-1 Ohio State. Maybe he’s more talented than I realized, but he’s a grad transfer and I think this is his last year of eligibility, regardless. And we aren’t pulling the current Heisman trophy leader off the field to run the Wildcat with him. Lane Kiffin is not Hugh Freeze.

I'm surprised no one off this board is in negotiations for the USC job.

When Leach leaves we should offer State our services for one game and coach by committee on the sideline. I’ve no doubt we could win a game. If we didn’t all kill each other deciding what the first play should be.

So are we really splitting hairs about whether our QB recruiting has sucked for 9 years, or only 7 years? Either way, it’s been bad for a really long time. Fitz, whatever your opinion of him is, signed with us 3 coaches and half a lifetime ago.
