What happened to the potential lineup thread? Anyways, Jon is lining up the games for next season

This is an insanely loaded team. Jon pulled out all the stops. I really want him to win it. If they don't this year, he's going to catch an enormous amount of hell online and from the media. He's a damn fine coach, and two late shocking collapses shouldn't be what he's known for.
Having 5 damn near 7 footers - good lord. They are so much better than everyone in the ACC it's not even funny.

Duke on paper looks very talented and versatile.
Florida is Very Good too though. They still have a chance for 4/5 of their starters to return, they added Folgieras (the good shooter from Iowa), and are in the mix for the #1 player in the transfer portal if he doesn’t stay in the nba draft.

I don't see where they added the Iowa guy? Who is the number 1 transfer, is it this guy? Milan Momcilovic? Yeah, that would change things but I thought he was going all in on the draft. I like Duke better. I don't like Florida's guards at all.

duke0527 you are right. I made the mistake of saying Folgieras went to Florida, he transferred to Louisville.
Milan is the #1 player in the transfer portal, he was the best 3 point shooter this past season in Men’s College Basketball. Imo Fland Improved this past season compared to his Frosh season at Arkansas. Duke @ Florida in the SEC/ACC Challenge would be a Great Test for both teams.

I might be wrong, but I think Scharnowski is going to help. Believe Jon got a sleeper.
The fact Howard is 6’4 (saw somewhere he might be 6’5 now) has an 6’11 wingspan is wild. Someone else here said it the other day and they were correct…he’s the least talked about top 15 recruit in a while.
To be fair, he'll be 17. And Cooper was 17 when he started in November. Of course, he isn't Coop. But I also understand what you're saying.

although I enjoy Duke giving kentucky the belt, I imagine the SEC/ACC higher ups will want to pit the projected behemoths of both conferences as the marquee matchup of the challenge in December.

Yes. It’s not a Coward situation as espn has Blackwell as #82 pro prospect where Coward was top 15. Plus, the nba doesn’t love a 6’3 SG but he’s an elite college player.
I saw a stat where Blackwell was a top five 3-point shooter in the country (percentage wise) when taking wide open 3's. Gotta think that number will increase more since he will get more open looks at Duke rather than at Wisconsin. He's not a great "tough shot maker."
Basically the opposite of Evans who seemed to always make 1 or 2 ridiculous three's a game, and struggled somewhat being wide open.

Jon may be young, but he ain't dumb. On paper, he's attempting to solve some issues I think we've had with our last several teams.

Agreed. I think the March injuries of Foster/Ngongba really hurt us down the stretch. We should have still beat UConn, but 100% healthy I think we destroy UConn. Jon is building this team to withstand an injury or 2. And we have 4 bigs, so foul trouble won't be a concern since Ngongba loves to foul 40 feet from the basket.
Biggest question will be how does this team gel. It was a lot easier to gel last years team of 8 real guys versus this years team of 10 real guys.
Will Rippey be fine being an 8th man? How good is Cam Williams? He's not gonna be Boozer/Flagg but can he be an All-ACC type guy.

Totally agree. I loved Cam and Cooper. They were two of the best we've had at Duke in a long time, but I've had an opinion that in big games in March, Duke became too predictable. Think it caused some of our guys to tighten up a little bit, and it looked like everyone gets to praying our star can make a play.
I'm hoping that since we don't have "the guy" this coming season, that multiple players are willing and capable of stepping up.
Off topic, but rupp rafters is pure gold right now. They are really bummed and some of them are wanting to boycott Amazon and Nike 
I really hope our SEC opponent is Kentucky since we will be on the road this year. That roster isn’t even top 50 today and our guys would smack them.
