At this point an equipment manager confirming his return would be good news.
He has announced f he’s headed to college if the league .What's the deal with sayon Keita , duke was going hard after him .
Yeah but hardly got minutes. But I get what you’re saying . No one transferred outEveryone with eligibility remaining.
So, you sayin' there's a chance???I gotta a better chance of Sydney Sweeney letting me motorboat her than that kid coming to Duke.
Could mean that some of guys aren’t leaving. The big from Kansas that signed with Louisville could have made his decision due to Pat being undecided too.Sounds like Blackwell visit to Duke has been cancelled. What is going on? Hopefully some good news soon because this off season isn’t off to a good start with the portal.
Maybe, but apparently at one time he thought Duke was willing to pay. Duke didn’t cancel did they? And has Pat decided to leave?^ or the 5 to 7 million he got?
They could spend 13 million on three players if they get Blackwell. They would still have to pay 9 other players. Talk about trying to buy a championship. College basketball is disgusting right now.Louisville is breaking the bank to build a roster and they aren’t done according to reports.
Definitely a center considering Pat's history with injuriesKeeping everyone would make us immediate #1 and ahead of everyone IMO- would love to pick up another C/PF regardless
But that’s the nature of college sports . Fans only want to win so if teams can spend they are going to .Arizona, Michigan , Kentucky, Perdue, UNC just to name a few all did with the hopes of building a championship roster. It worked out well for Michigan .They could spend 13 million on three players if they get Blackwell. They would still have to pay 9 other players. Talk about trying to buy a championship. College basketball is disgusting right now.
^ said this on Fridaywon't surprise me one bit for Duke to have 9-12 guys as part of the rotation for 2026-2027.
2024-2025: 11 deep
2025-2026: 9 deep
Foster
Evans
Sarr
Williams
Ngongba
Cayden
Wilkins
Rippey Jr
Howard
Meyer (potential redshirt, thought of as more of a project)
Potential Transfers:
Blackwell
Bidunga
Seems likely that we get more back than originally thought.
I post on Bro and we always say Duke gets all the best players and spends the most money, it’s interesting seeing folks here saying the same about Louisville. They could spend $12-$14m on 3 players? But regardless they won’t win big, just ask Kentucky how it goes when you spend $22m? And now nobody wants to sign there. Same with Wadhington.I think Duke needs at minimum 10 players on scholarship. Just look at this past year with Foster and Big Pat injuried, it really test our depth and players needed to play more minutes. Need depth
Nik is a shooter....lets keep our guy!!Yea have to think we are getting more guys back than originally anticipated. Still need another big and we need another shooter, even if somehow someway Evans is back.
Duke spends no where near the money as most programs since NIL started . We’re not even in the top ten of NIL spending .I post on Bro and we always say Duke gets all the best players and spends the most money, it’s interesting seeing folks here saying the same about Louisville. Yeah that’s totally fair if you’re just looking at straight cash, but Duke kind of plays a different game. The brand itself carries a lot of weight, so a lot of the value for players comes through exposure, endorsements, and built-in deal opportunities. It’s not always upfront money, but the total package can end up being just as attractive as what other programs are offering.Duke spends no where near the money as most programs since NIL started . That’s not what this article says. I can post more too. But here’s one example…Duke spends no where near the money as most programs since NIL started . We’re not even in the top ten of NIL spending .
That just says who spends ten million . I can post in for too. That’s not what this article says. I can post more too. But here’s one example…

Here's how Cooper Flagg cleared a staggering $28 million in NIL contracts during his one season at Duke

That’s what I was getting at . What you just posted is exactly why people think Duke spends all this money on NIL but they actually Don’t .Yeah that’s totally fair if you’re just looking at straight cash, but Duke kind of plays a different game. It’s crazy what a simple google search reveals…That’s what I was getting at . What you just posted is exactly why people think Duke spends all this money on NIL but they actually Don’t .
This projected list says Kentucky Nil + roster spendingThat’s what I was getting at . What you just posted is exactly why people think Duke spends all this money on NIL but they actually Don’t .

Arguement over . Flagg didn’t loose to Florida in the tourney . Since you’re a UCLA fan give your advice to Cronin. Yall seem to be on worse shape than Duke .This projected list says Kentucky Nil + roster spending
Kentucky = $21-$23 m
BYU - $15m
Duke -$$14m
sounds about right to me. There’s articles that also go over what each sweet 16 team spent this past season, Duke is also in the top 5 on that list too. I’m a UCLA fan it says only our nil was $9-$9.5m so we have money too. But Duke is no slouch. They spend $$. In my opinion, Duke just overspends on elite High school stars and doesn’t bring in enough elite Transfer portal experienced talent. If I were Duke, id target and try to add Momciclovic, Bidunga who just went to Louisville, go take Johnson from Michigan, Rob Wright, Juke Harris, Terrance Hill, Dedan Thomas, all experienced talented transfers.
think about this…Duke had Knueppel, Flagg, and several other talented stud freshmen, and lost to a much less talented but more experienced Florida team. Michigan just won it all with experienced transfers including Mara, Yaxel, Johnson, Cadeau, and then a few solid freshmen sprinkled In like Trey Mczkennie, who I love most on that roster. But they had junior and senior leaders up and down their expensive roster. That’s how you build a championship roster. Not solely with 5 star top 20 rated incoming high school stars. I envy what Duke has created, but with the talent Dukes landed, they should have at least 1 or 2 nattys since 2016. It’s a travesty that hasn’t happened. But the recruiting strategy has been flawed a bit. Too top heavy with star high school 5 stars. Not enough experienced depth. Now you’re losing Khamenia, who in a year or two will be a very good college bball player, but no longer with Duke.
Let’s just agree that Duke has a top 10 Nil payroll. Which isn’t as huge as Kentuckys $22m last season, and they went nowhere. It isn’t just about Nil, it’s also about balancing the roster and having experienced rotation players. I know better than anyone, Because at UCLA we have had a flawed roster for several years now. Regardless of how much we spent. So I’m an expert in analyzing flawed roster construction. Dukes has been way better. But in my opinion, Duke needs to add more experienced rotation players through the transfer portal, and or hang onto developing solid players like Khamenia till they’re juniors and seniors. Or both. This isn’t meant as a knock on Duke at all. If anything, props to Duke it’s the premier college bball program In the country. But they spend plenty of money. Most top college programs do.Dude just stop already . You can. Look up twenty different articles and they say different . Your last post is from a post on Facebook . And read the Flagg article. It didn’t say Duke paid Flagg 28 million it clearly says his he made 28 million when he came to Duke .
