Iowa trying to get ahead of the curve, he has visits also lined up to Wisky and Kentucky. He would be a nice addition not only for next year, but the future. So, DB Anthony Hawkins is visiting... anybody know anything about him other than from Villanova?
Patton, Robinson and Hawthorne all had Iowa offers and would make sense , few more I bet but not digging this early in the AM LOLI am also assuming that given Dochterman's statements about ISU players on the last podcast, paraphrasing, "iowa fans should be on the look out for ISU guys." That is a positive sign some of those guys will be on campus as well.
I hear ya, I will say this makes football being finished for the season a little exciting. my ****** take on guys from ISU I'd be pumped about in no particular order.Patton, Robinson and Hawthorne all had Iowa offers and would make sense , few more I bet but not digging this early in the AM LOL
I don’t think Hawthorne had an Iowa offer. Limbaugh did. Iowa was happy with Gautcher and Cooney and passed on Hawthorne because of those two iirc.Patton, Robinson and Hawthorne all had Iowa offers and would make sense , few more I bet but not digging this early in the AM LOL
Manske, sure but not worth a bagI hear ya, I will say this makes football being finished for the season a little exciting. my ****** take on guys from ISU I'd be pumped about in no particular order.
1.) Manske
2.) Robinson
3.) Hansen (honestly, kid is a hard runner, no break away speed)
4.) Sowell (bro is going to get paid somewhere)
5.) Eskildsen
6.) Townsend
7.) Bacon (Iowa is deep here, and I don't think a 1 year MLB type is on the docket, plus he's often injured)
8.) Williams (bet he gets paid)
9.) Marcus Neal (however, SPEND THE MONEY ON KOI PERICH)
Hmm that’s a little troubling. I was hoping Campbell would move on from recruiting Iowa kids but it makes sense for now I guessReally thought Iowa might get a visit from Tulsa transfer (Deborah native) Joe Hjelle, but it look like he has Indy, PSU, and Wisky lined up.
So, likely some fake news, but smoke on twitter (probably a troll) however, interesting for convo.
You are correct, i went back thru the offers, Iowa interest no offerI don’t think Hawthorne had an Iowa offer. Limbaugh did. Iowa was happy with Gautcher and Cooney and passed on Hawthorne because of those two iirc.

I'm not paying for Nakos news, but I am going to make the assumption that Iowa has reached out, just the same as they did for Marcus Stokes. That tweet has “Tell me you know nothing about Iowa football without telling me you know nothing about Iowa football” written all over it.

^ThisNo chance Iowa takes on that head case and the Family that comes with it or the delusional asking price He wants
OL? you mean DL. I also don't see a "prolific WR" coming to Iowa. Koi Perich should be the target at S, DL additions for depth. A QB would be nice.^This
He is not worth $4 million, or whatever his asking price is.
If Tim Lester is happy with the current quarterbacks on the roster, I would rather the big money go to a prolific wide receiver and the OL.
Both OL and DL.OL? you mean DL. I also don't see a "prolific WR" coming to Iowa. Koi Perich should be the target at S, DL additions for depth. A QB would be nice.
Honestly don't see the need for OL, Iowa hasn't had success with transfers at that spot either. Looks like Iowa is going hard after Bibbs at WR from ULM.Both OL and DL.
Yeah, a “prolific” wide receiver might be wishful thinking, but a P4 caliber receiver to complement RVZ would be nice. Jacob Gill is about the only receiver to transfer to Iowa to have any sort of impact whatsoever. Otherwise, everyone else has done practically nothing.
The narrative of Iowa being a Brian Ferentz sh*t show on offense should be in the rear view now. With Iowa just beating a top 15 opponent in a Florida bowl game, there is no reason Iowa can’t find someone with more upside than Seth Anderson or Sam Phillips (no offense to them but they aren’t Big Ten caliber receivers).
With Jimmy Sullivan already in the fold, I don't see the Hawks signing Manske. They have the same eligibility and Sully already has a full year in Lester's system because he enrolled last January.I hear ya, I will say this makes football being finished for the season a little exciting. my ****** take on guys from ISU I'd be pumped about in no particular order.

Who do they have coming up? Aren’t we losing a lot to graduation?Honestly don't see the need for OL, Iowa hasn't had success with transfers at that spot either. Looks like Iowa is going hard after Bibbs at WR from ULM.
Myslinski will be a super senior replacing Jones at C, Lauck will hopefully be Iowa's next 1st round lineman at LT, Kade Pieper at RG is cemented. I think Dotzler moves over to the RT spot, and the LG is Leighton Jones. Apparently Lucas Algeyer (hope I spelled that right, probably not) is another one to keep you eyes on, add Will Nolan, and Macaslin. I feel fairly confident about the Oline.Who do they have coming up? Aren’t we losing a lot to graduation?
He’s the exact QB that Lester wants to run his offense. Strong arm , extremely accurate and can make every NFL throw.I would be shocked if Ferentz looked at him even if every Iowa QB left and he was the last guy in the portal.
His Family makes demands of Staff including promises like no QB competition, huge financial asks and got a Family Member on Staff, They are toxic and would be against everything Iowa has culturally built in the locker room and has terrible pocket awareness and is not mobile .He’s the exact QB that Lester wants to run his offense. Strong arm , extremely accurate and can make every NFL throw.
Lester doesn’t want this bozo anywhere near the program. He’s the exact QB that Lester wants to run his offense. Strong arm , extremely accurate and can make every NFL throw.
Even if Lester wanted him Ferentz wouldn't take him. He’s the exact QB that Lester wants to run his offense. Strong arm , extremely accurate and can make every NFL throw.

Na, he's gonna get paid at tOSU. Still hopeful for some ISU additions. I guess the only benefit of this scenario is that Iowa holds on to most of their players. Programs like Wisky/Debby that seem to be mentioned in almost every situation haven't had on the field success.I’ll be honest, early returns on the visitors and reported interest is pretty underwhelming. Unless Perich is a reality.

881 yards receiving and a freshman all-American at FCS level is impressive. Baylor, Cincy, OSU, Illinois, and Houston have offered already. Might be tough to get him out of Texas...Scratch that he's visiting Illinois this weekendTony Diaz from UTRGV just got an offer.
