This should only be for kids with 1st coaches.

Feels lIke jumping jobs then wonder why you dont make more money.

I am down, as long as we treat all scholarships the same way, academic, band, dance, whatever. The only time you can leave your scholarship is if the coach or dean of the department leaves. Any other reason and you lose your scholarship.

The portal is such a genius idea. Giving scholarships to HS or juco kids is such a crapshoot and if you can convince them to enter the portal, you can open up schollie space once you realize a kid doesn't have "it". There is such a high percentage of kids who never play but sit on scholarship that this is a way to improve the overall talent concentration while allowing kids the chance to play at a weaker school. I think the quality of football in power 5 conferences will improve dramatically due to this policy. If you have 5-10 kids enter the portal every year you can replace them with 5-10 extra recruits...so 5 kids who would rarely play are released to allow more talent to stream in.

I'm sorry, but some has to say it; it's 'sit' not "set." A person sits out a year, sits in a chair, or babysits. You set an object on a table, or play a set of tennis or volleyball.

Are you actually going to sit, set or sat there and pick fun on an error in my post? Are you bored, nothing better to do or just in one of those moods to pick on someone else to make yourself feel better??

And no...SomeONE...doesn’t have to say it. Like your error, I’d normally ignore it (as we all make mistakes) and keep on keeping on. But yep....someONE has to say it. Lol, it was pretty funny seeing you give me crap about an error in my post and watch you turn around and make an error in yours. Imagine that, you made an error, how ironic.

But my error was a simple omission by using a swipe app. You intentionally used the word set in lieu of sit on more than one occasion. At any rate, it's not to make myself feel better; it was just surprising to me.

I think both where errors and mistakes can be made brotha. Being a Husker message board, I think we both can agree it makes no difference or matter. And believe it or not, mine was an autocorrect. It picked that one and I didn’t pay attention. For some reason my iPhone literally picks out the most common and the most used word and automatically corrects it to that. And most times I don’t even notice it until later or even days later...it happens to the best of us. Oh and it doesn’t help that I don’t have the iPhone plus or S...I got the standard one with the small screen. Either way, errors happen. It’s why I never call anyone out on it.

Grammar, grammer, there, their, they're, and all the rest are mere annoyances to those that see them, but do nothing to inhibit the ability to communicate on a message board. It is a rare typo or homonym misuse that I cannot read through. There are other places to hold one to written language standards, here may not be the best place.
