BOOM! Clouse says he is in the same category athletically as Jurgens and Piper. Massive upgrade upfront. If this kid can start D1 as a true freshman who arrived in the summer, then he can damn sure start for us at G.
The kid is likely to be able to get a waiver is what the word is as well. He will be on Scholly by Aug or Dec.

I appreciate your enthusiasm, but starting D1 at CSU doesn’t automatically make him better than what we have. I’m hopeful he is, but he will need to learn a new offense and different schemes... I hope he gets the waiver and is a contributor this year. And if that contribution is in the starting lineup, so much the better!

I hear ya, but talent is talent..our guards would not have started at any D1 as true freshman. He now has 7 starts under his belt and will have full year of development before he takes on the big 10 challenge. He has only been playing football for a couple years, which speaks to his athleticism and upside.

Athletic and physical. Farniok and Wilson will both be SR’s next year and could be our starting Guards. I could see him starting for us year after next.

The NCAA has to eliminate this must sit rule. If they are letting kids enter the portal whenever they want and not during a predetermined period. Then stop picking n choosing who gets to play immediately and who hast to sit. Just let them all play right away.

I'd rather it be no one gets to play right away.

The easiest solution to me would be to give each school a certain number of transfers that can play immediately. The rest have to sit out a year. So you could give each team 2 transfers that can play right away, the rest have to wait a year. That way it would be fair for everyone.

I personally would not like to see every get to be eligible right away.

If your head coach leaves, fine. If you graduated the school where you committed, fine.

But just letting anyone be a free agent would be freaking chaos. You take away the entire barrier to kids getting mad and redshirt transferring like they tried to do last year before they realized they lose TWO years, not just the RS year.

Kids would play their four and then if they didn't feel all fat an happy as a true freshman after four games they could just bail and keep their RS year and play the very next? Hell no. Every saltyass 19 year old in the country mad because he didn't bust out his very first year would be hitting the bricks.

Sounds like they are going to go after immediate eligibility and they think he should get it based on his coach getting fired. Es ist schon!

The thought of those 3 starting for 3 years side by side is awesome
