I had to give it a Google …

Looks like they did in 1967.

Apparently this November, a referendum will be on the local PR ballot asking residents again if they wish to pursue statehood. From there, if voted in the affirmative, it would then go through some process and vote in the House/Senate for statehood.

If PR wants to be a state, I have a hard time thinking of a reason why they shouldn’t be.
I have a few friends who went there in the early 80's to build a cable TV system. They never returned. They love it there.

I hear all this 'gender affirming' going on everywhere on the left, and they believe you can be whatever gender you want, and take it out of the hands of the parents so the state or federal government can make that decision, and chop off body parts at a young age. Well, I was born white, and that is listed on my birth certificate, but how about 'racial affirming'. What if I want to affirm my race as black? And I could get all the benefits of being black and a minority? Well I might be able to do that anyway, because my DNA says that a have 1% (or possibly a little less) of DNA from Nigeria. But what if I want to affirm that I was black. How would that go over?? You think that would bring the racist roaches out of the woodwork??? WOKE is WOKE, whether it is affirming gender or race? I might give that a try, then throw out the 1% trump card... 😆

Your DNA and science don't mean anything. It's just about how you feel. So if you feel black, you can identify as black.

Again, LMAO....how is a drag show indecent? It's just a performer pantomiming in a dress and cracking jokes. It's not a scene from the holocaust lol.

I guess I'm missing something because I'm not necessarily saying companies would have drag shows at work, though I've known men to dress up as women for a comedy skit for charity.

You people have taken this culture war way too damn far. it's ridiculous.
It's indecent because it makes @loveoysters feel things he's n9t supposed to.

"Twitter was expensive, Free Speech is priceless" - Elon Musk
The king has no clothes. His trans kid disowned him and he's sad. Someone come pick up their divorced dad.
Also, can we just talk about how much of a loser quote this is? Elon Musk is not preserving free speech, he's bought his way to super mod and HE now censors and approves what HE likes. Thats all that happened. It is the saddest fall from grace I've witnessed in my life time, truly and all American story.

Fall from grace includes creating 5 multi-billion dollar companies and going from rags to the richest man in the world. We have a different definition of falling from grace. You are mad because he outsmarted the communist deep state.

None the less, everyone knows that the pedo-trannies are wrong. The fact that you are here caping for them is disgusting, anti-science, anti-woman, and anti-reality.

He never was in RAGS. Yes he lost billions this year, and his aging mind is worried about nonesense.

What are you talking about what pedo-trannies? Why are you so concerned with Transgender people? What science are you even citing? You sound anti-smart

Biology. There is no such thing as a trans person.
Thats a bold claim. Does your science hold up when evidence of Trans people existing show up? Would you say denying the existence of trans people helps you on your daily well being journey? When did the exstence of Trans people become very important to deny for you? Was there a trigger?

Pretty much nailed it …

Only thing I would add is that post-Obergefell, activists and politicians (left and right) needed a “topic” they could fundraise on. It’s not a mystery to me that the transgender debate really caught fire after 2015.
It's no mystery at all. Bigotry of all kinds became much more common and normalized once Trump took office. He openly encouraged it every day on Twitter. That's the consequence of electing an overt bigot, racist as president.
