Parents and students are alleging that the attacker is a male who identifies as female. Not a single media outlet mentions that he was trans.
The school administration was reportedly notified of this attacker's violent behavior and alleged "hit list" that he kept of other students.

A federal appeals court ruled on Wednesday that Maryland's largest school district is not required to permit parents to exempt their K-5 children from classes and books addressing LGBTQ topics such as sexuality and gender, at least for the time being.
The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, in a 2-1 decision, upheld a lower court's ruling that rejected a preliminary injunction. The court found that the parents had not demonstrated how the policy—implemented by the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) board—would infringe on their children's First Amendment right to freely practice their religion.
The parents had contended that not allowing an opt-out from exposure to LGBTQ-themed books and discussions in the curriculum violates federal and state laws.

Ravizza, who used "she" pronouns according to his IG account, after an AMC movie theatre stabbing, entered the McDonald's where he lunged out of his vehicle, urinated in the drive-thru, and stabbed the employee with a large kitchen knife. Afterwards, Ravizza went inside the McDonald's and stabbed a female employee in the arm, leaving a wound that was about two inches deep.
He is held for evaluation on charges of armed assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and indecent exposure.
The prosecutor asked that Ravizza be held without bail because he had been sought in connection with a homicide investigation in Connecticut as well as the move theater attack.
