hehe..ill go yours was weak
He is small and not long..
He is not a great athlete
Plays under the goal
He is a good not great shooter
He is a great HS passer though
Don't see him being a good NBA defender in a year

Hey, I hope you're right and he plays great and is a OAD..I just see it ..maybe an Epps type player
You just described Tyler Ulis.

Who was not one & done. Doesn't that go against your point?

I mean hey, sure it's not completely impossible that he leaves after a year. But I'd say it's more likely he sticks around. He has a very limited ceiling so in his case it's very probable that the NBA wants to get a look at him with some experience before taking him as early as he's probably hoping to go. I will say, one good thing about getting a bunch of guys ranked 10-40 is that we should (God willing) have some good sophomores back for the 18-19 season. Maybe it's kind of ridiculous to look that far ahead, but there ya go.

the way that i look at it is:

if Young and Green play 1 on 1, Young probably wins.

if Young and Green play a 5 on 5 game of basketball with similar teams, Greens team probably takes the cake, unless Young absolutely goes off, which is possible, but everything i have read points to Green being a pretty good defender for his size.

I think if I can show you a sophomore comp who was drafted in the early second round, it isn't that much of a stretch to say someone can do it as a freshman. And given that everyone who comes here wants to go to the nba, it makes it even more likely.

I can only base my opinion off 1 game where I seen Young and Green go head to head. In that game Young dominated and Green looked average at best. Let's not kid ourselves into thinking that Young isn't a super talented guard but Green is a great PG that can run a team. Young is a shooter and scorer we could have definitely used for next year though.

Are you talking about this summer? Because unless I misread the lines, there's no question that Green had the better game. Green had 15 pts, 5 reb and 12 assts. young only had more points but shot just 7-21.

I'm assuming both graham and mason are both gone, but with Newman svi and Vick they willl aill have a crowded backcourt. No doubt young will play but if he wants to start right away Oklahoma is the place for him. I love how puke fans are slobbering all over duval now. A few months ago they didn't want anything to do with him due to grades and character issues, now all of th now all of the sudden his character issues and grades are no big deal for puke fans. I would love to see duval skip college and go overseas for a yr since puke will have a mass exodus and only have Trent and carter and course bolden. I know we are basically out of the young sweepstakes but there would be plenty of room for him here especially if briscoe decides to just go pro and take his chances being a 2nd round pick and playing in the dleague a few years cause he's no where near NBA ready

The KU faithful have been saying it's an open secret that Svi is gone.

Vick is a 3 so he's irrelevant to Youngs decision. I'm guessing he stays home but I have nothing to base that on other than he has gone to OU a lot

Would still love to have Young at UK. He is a shooter that we need. I am not sold on Knox being here yet. If Young wants to play at UK and Cal is OK with it then we should also. I have seen posters post that "that ship has sailed" but that is just their opinion. Cal will do the right thing.

I think pretty much anyone here would prefer a Young in the hand to a Knox in the bush.

I'm just glad Cal said he's had enough waiting on some of these dudes. You wanna wait til the spring, and possibly burn us? Nah, we're good. Take your *** somewhere else, and we'll go get the next 5 star.

I think the rumors surrounding Bolden and Duke may be true because Cal sure seems to be taking a different approach this year.

Great quote from DraftExpress... Outlook: Was, in our view, head and shoulders the best point guard on the during the USA Basketball tryouts. College coach's dream. Great combination of toughness, smarts and unselfishness. Plays with confidence and poise. Lack of size limits his upside at the NBA level, but certainly doesn't rule him out depending on how his college career evolves.
