From what I've watched, OU seems to be poorly coached. Even though he is a fantastic shooter, I've never seen a college coach give someone the green light from half court just barely into the shot clock. He probably realized that he couldn't do that at UK and influenced his decision.

Without some discipline you can sometimes have one shooter too many.

A real shame considering the kid has a good knack for passing when he slows down the one man gang routine a bit.

I've always thought Lon Kruger was a good coach but he messed up with this team

I thought Young played good but he has literally no help. It’s him and a bunch of scrubs
The team played for him for the first part of season, then he got a swoll head. He wasn't a leader more of a diva. Their season proves it. You can see where Trae Young got to big for himself. Don't think he will impact the NBA like most do.
Kruger is trying to recruit more gunners, that's why Trae had green light
Still take Shai over young all day!
You can be a great talent, but you need to have people wanting to do battle with you. Trae proved that is what he wasn't, a leader

He is a perfect example why Cal has to get the freshmen to buy into a “team concept” for them to be a successful team.

Will be one of the top 5 in the draft. He can shoot, pass & rebound. Not a great defender. Sees the floor really well. Just on a poor team. Some NBA Team that needs a PG will take him early.

As expected, he came back to Earth after a ridiculously hot start to the season. He's a very good player, but I'm very skeptical about him being the second coming of Steph Curry.

Agreed; his defense is god awful and that will be a huge liability in the league. Won't see as much double teams in the NBA and the spacing is different so he will be able to do some good things. Could be an all-star some day but I don't see him being an all world player

heck, I thought they win at least one just to show everyone they belonged there after being disrespected.

What a waste of talent

Welp, he got to shoot all he wanted and Mommy and daddy got to go to all the games. They didn't deserve a bid.

If Cal coached Young, he wouldn't be taking ill advised 30 foot 3 pointers this late in the season. Young is a great player, a little of control with TO and taking bad 3 pointers.

surround Young with the right players and he wouldn't have had to

That team quit the game after Young took 39 shots. At that point his teammates had nothing really to play for. Young was playing 1 on 5 most of the time. By the time he decided to take a lesser role his teammates had tanked and gave him no help.

I didn’t watch many Oklahoma games, but I did see today’s game. He was unselfish in the second and almost willed them to a comeback. Unfortunately his guys couldn’t hit open shots or finish drives to the hoop. I’m not a Trae groupie by any stretch, just calling it like i saw it today.

They shouldn't have even been playing. Charles Barkley flat out said on the pre-game that he wanted OK to lose because there were more deserving teams that didn't make the cut.

Young does not have a decision to make he is just blowing smoke. He is gone as gone gets..I am glad he is out of the tournament so we don't have to hear his name called. He is a good player but damn the media, ESPN, gets a hold of one player, example Ben Simmons, last year and they beat the horse to death. I guess they will move on to Michael Porter Jr now that OK got bounced..
